How accurate are FRER tests?

Hi all, whats your experience of FRER and how accurate are they for early testing?

We're TTC, today is d28 of cycle and took a FRER last night (8pm) and one again today (it was 1pm so not first morning urine). Both were negative so I'm assuming I'm just not pregnant? Or is there a chance I'm just testing too early? I thought those tests are extra sensitive so would pick up early?

Maybe I'm just being overly hopeful, only I have certain symptoms, my cervix is soft, I'm getting more discharge. My cycle is usually 26 -28 days but I suppose it could just be a longer one and AF is on the way.

How many days post ovulation are you? They are very sensitive and show up up to 5 days before your period is due occasionally, but not always.

Thanks @Whyhaveidonethis. I’m not entirely sure when I ovulated but would estimate I’m 14dpo so would have thought the test would be accurate.
Maybe I’m just being overly hopeful and will get AF soon, will try to do another test in the morning to see if FMU makes a difference.

From what I've read... FRER aren't always accurate in the time before AF. I've seen stories of people who get BFP 6dpo and BFP 17dpo plus. Ignore anybody who says if it's not come up in the 5 days before period then you're not pregnant. It's all dependent on when you implanted and whether your hormone levels are high enough to register on the test.

Wait until your AF is due/late and then see what you get on a test. In the meantime if you must test get some cheap ones haha I've wasted too much money on FRERs already in cycle 1 lolz

I'm cycle day 29, expecting it to be 30 day cycle stand in same boat had negative FRER but until AF shows I'm not taking too much notice unless it's a BFP.

@Blondeandbroody thanks for your reply. Did another test this morning cd29 and nothing! My cycle is usually 28 days or less so I’m wondering if I’m just making this up in my head... anyway, that’s the last of my FRER used up, will just wait for AF to arrive I suppose.... x
