Cramps during first couple of weeks of pregnancy?

Hi all

I suffer from PCOS and have finally got a positive after 18 months of trying ( have a blocked tube too) I am 36 and my pregnancy dates are so skewed as I had two periods in one month the last period I had was on the 19th November. I tested Tuesday and it was positive. The line is getting darker however I have no symptoms at all except some bad cramping. It feels like period pains though not as severe. I’ve had them for about 5 days now. Is this normal? I have my hospital appt on Monday for a blood test in which they will do a scan of my hcb levels are higher then they last were.

I’m just freaking out about the cramps as I’m not sure this is normal?

Comments appreciated x

I had cramping in very early pregancy too both times I was pregnant. It was normal for me but if you're worried, you should get checked out.

Completely normal your uterus is adjusting for the changes ahead 😊 congratulations

Thank you so much. Suffering from a lot of anxiety as this truly was a miracle baby for us. I hear a lot about miscarriages and just fill my head with paranoia. I hear the 12 week mark is when you start entering the safe zone so just trying to be positive these next three months!

I had this in my first pregnancy too. Didn't in subsequent ones, when things had already stretched!!😄
Are you short/petite? GP told me these symptoms were typically more pronounced for short women!

ChicaXS · 14/12/2019 18:04

Lol @Sleepforever I am indeed though I don’t think 5’4 is that short!! Grin

I am very petit naturally but piled on the pounds ( around 150 now! ) this year. Your doctor sounds smart!!

I had period pains for a couple of weeks or so after BFP. They really put me on edge! All fine though. I didn't get other symptoms until around 6-7 weeks I'd say, I was still doing pregnancy tests until then! Grin

I had horrific, could hardly sit still camps and slight spotting with ds1 at around 5-6 weeks. I assumed the worst but he's 13 now!
