Just started ttc for baby no2. Conceived baby no1 in second month of trying luckily! I was just as obsessive then as I am now. I was on the copper coil last time but after having baby no1 I went back on the pill, so I finished the pack and then came off it about 2 weeks ago. Been bd'ing like mad! I'm going insane, I don't know when I ovulate as couldn't wait to start trying before first proper af. So have already done 3 tests with a bfn, someone stop me 🙈 my tracker says I should be roughly 5dpo but I stupidly didn't do ovulation tests - regretting that now... Though the amount we've been at it I'd be surprised if we didn't catch the right time somehow 😂 though I really shouldn't get my hopes up as had to treat for BV in the middle of it all 😕 what a lovely Christmas present a bfp would be tho 😍 anyone else going stir crazy?

Good luck! I came off it in September and also couldn't wait for first AF - which eventually came 2 just weeks ago! Just trying to BD every other day and hope for the best now 🤣 a Christmas BFP is the dream!

LizzieLottie88 · 12/12/2019 19:48

Sorry just updated my name (was NewYearsBaby2019). Oh wow took a few months to come then. But if 2 weeks ago then hopefully the time is right for you and fingers crossed for this month! When do you tend to test?
So I'm actually 99% sure I'm now ovulating (cm and temp) haven't got any sticks to check tho 😩 and dh out on Christmas do tonight so that was bad timing! Well have to hope the every other day works! Looks like I'll have to wait a little longer with you but least I'm not out for this month yet xxx

bluebell94 · 12/12/2019 20:44

Definitely not out yet! Timing is so frustrating isn't it 😂
I've done a few random pregnancy tests (before recent AF when I didn't have a clue what my body was doing!) then started OPKs last week as thought the timing might be right but none of them have been positive yet so god knows. I've never tried temp tracking but I work shifts so it's impossible for me to check at similar times each day which is frustrating. Definite cm changes this week so will just keep going and see! Every single little stupid symptom is going on my ovia app though 🤣 How old is baby no1? xx

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere · 12/12/2019 21:28

Evening all! I'm Reg, 33, TTC #2, DS is just turned 3.

Not actually had AF yet to officially start but had what was essentially what we refer to as 'a danger bang' so I guess me and DH are in agreement on actually TTC Grin

Ordered my OPKs and ICs which feels a bit mental. DS was conceived after three cycles but I was younger, slimmer and a lot less shattered then.

Emelene · 12/12/2019 21:41

Hi ladies! We are about to start trying for number 2. My little girl is 13 months old. I'm excited but a little apprehensive too. I'm hoping I can be more relaxed about it this time and not get too obsessed. Confused We conceived on 5th cycle last time.

Any top tips/ things to share? We found conceive plus lubricant useful last time so I've ordered some more.

LizzieLottie88 · 13/12/2019 01:37

Hello ladies!

Bluebell - fingers crossed this is the month for you! I haven't ever really properly done temp tracking, I just noticed cm change so did my temp and it was down a little compared to other random days I'd done it recently. Although DH back too late tonight to do anything so I'm praying tomorrow isn't too late 😭 oh god I know I hate every little symptom, I'd been get the odd little cramp and boob twinge but that must be ovulation now I'm more behind than I thought. LO is 11 months (I know, I'm crazy!) and I was the most adament mum out there there wouldn't be anymore but same thing happened as when we tried for the first literally a light bulb goes off in my body and its all I can think about and want. Hormones and body clocks hey! Long story short, it works out better for us to overlap next one as much as poss :) though when I think of my uncomfortable pregnancy, labour and birth recovery and sleep deprivation I think I've got insane haha, but they're sooo cute! And he's so worth it now. Trying to look at the bigger picture!
Emelene - ooh yes the safe lube was good for us last time too, if I don't fall this month I'll get some more. Good luck to you! Scary isn't it, almost more so when youve been through it before 🤣 xxx
Reg - danger bang 😂 good luck in trying! I feel you on the slimmer and less shattered!

danielasummer · 13/12/2019 08:20

Hi everyone, hope I can join!

I'm TTC #1 after a missed miscarriage in October at 7.5 weeks.
I'm 27, DH 28.
Will be trying SMEP this month :) Currently on CD8 (time is draggggginnggg) want to be at the point of OPK testing now!

Driving myself nuts already, willing the days to go quickly so we can try.. desperate to be pregnant again. Glad to have found a board which will hopefully keep me sane throughout all of this! x

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere · 13/12/2019 08:45

I have really long, think 39-45 day cycles rather than your average length ones. I'm on CD41 now so got my fx for AF to show up sooner than later.

So sorry about your MC danielasummer That's so hard. How long were you TTC before? I'd be OPKing from cd8 but I have very odd lh phases.

danielasummer · 13/12/2019 09:05

@ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere my cycles vary like yours too - mine can be from 33-50 days. Fx for you so that you can start afresh next cycle. Is there a chance you could be pregnant?

Thank you, it was awful but moving forwards now (trying to). We actually weren't trying - we were going to wait until January. Made us realise how much we wanted this! What about you? x

Emelene · 13/12/2019 09:41

Hi @danielasummer. Smile Sorry to hear about your MC, it must have been so hard. Thanks

I forgot to add a few details - DH and I are both 26. I'm still breastfeeding my first one and only just got my period back (had 2 periods) so my cycles might be a bit funny! I'm CD 14 now so potentially fertile. But we have a friend here all weekend and a 1 year old who doesn't sleep well... hopefully we can get some BDing done to be in with a chance! Xmas Grin

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere · 13/12/2019 10:03

I knew I wanted DS to be a bit older before TTC again so a 3.5+ year age Gap was always the plan.

Nah, definitely don't think I'm pregnant, been activity avoiding for a late December/Jan start for (ideally, hahaha, never happens how it's planned!) A September onwards baby.

I really hope you catch soon Daniela

How are you today Lizzie I can't even fathom TTC with an 11 month old, I don't think I'd slept yet by that point with DS Grin

bluebell94 · 13/12/2019 13:51

Aww this will be baby #1 for us but I'd like to think (hope) that if we had another there wouldn't be a huge age gap but I suppose you never know u til it happens do you. I'm getting very ahead of myself 🤣 there's 2 years between me and my brother and 9 between me and my sister... she was a happy accident!
was starting to drive myself mad with OPKs as never had a positive yet but just done one and femometer app has registered it as high so fingers crossed!!! I can't remember if DH is going out tonight and I'm out tomorrow night so will have to squeeze DTD in whenever we can this weekend 🤣 xx

danielasummer · 13/12/2019 14:38

@Emelene hi, thank you Flowers it was so devastating but trying to think ahead to the future now. Saying that I'm having a pretty bad day today and just keep nearly crying! But, that's not the point of this thread so yes, TTC and keeping each other sane would be ideal for me haha!

You'll have to get your friend to take your baby out so you can have some alone time!! Wink

@ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere fingers crossed for a September baby for all of us!

@bluebell94 fingers crossed you have time to BD this weekend! Is Femometer a paid app? I have Premom which I'm planning on using but they might be the same/very similar?

bluebell94 · 13/12/2019 15:48

@danielasummer it's also free, they're pretty much the same! I was using Premom but swapped, no particular reason Smile think I was hoping that a new app would magically make me fertile haha 😂

LizzieLottie88 · 13/12/2019 15:56

So sorry to hear about your mc danielasummer that must be so disheartening :( but onwards and upwards! We can all wait it out together :) I know what you mean about things like that suddenly making you want it though!
My cycles last time were pretty standard but as first month off the pill I have no idea where I'm at! Pretty sure I ovulate yesterday but it would be CD 20 now?! But it would be exactly 2 weeks after finishing my withdrawal bleed from the pill so makes sense. I don't feel ill be lucky enough to get a bfp first month :/ trying my hardest to just put it to the back of my mind for now whilst we wait it out! Xxx

LizzieLottie88 · 13/12/2019 16:01

@ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere I know I am literally insane aren't I haha. And we were so adament we didn't want to go through it again but they soon grow and become so enjoyable :) it'll be tough at the start, but be so worth it when they're playing together and then when we and they are all older! Plus, we want to start saving for a house (we rent currently) so it a better for us to overlap the years where we're paying childcare and then can start saving quicker :) xx

LizzieLottie88 · 15/12/2019 18:50

How's everyone doing? Hanging in there? Any testing yet? Xx

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere · 15/12/2019 21:12

I'm finally on CD1!! Which is the last time I'm going to be pleased about saying that for the foreseeable future Grin Still waiting on my OPKs and ICs to arrive.

Emelene · 17/12/2019 23:19

How are we doing ladies? I'm in my fertile period and we BDed yesterday. Felt like a big step - we are actually trying for number 2! It's normal to feel a bit nervous and apprehensive right? But also excited and dreaming of babies. Grin I'm worried about how I'd manage with 2 but that would always be the case...

Poor DH has a stinking cold tonight so we shall see over the next few days. I'm trying not to put pressure on it because it will make us stressed, but it's hard!

LizzieLottie88 · 18/12/2019 05:51

@Emelene I am exactly the same, nervous and petrified about going back to the sleep deprivation and painful labour etc and the logistics of how I'll manage with 2. But I just keep reminding myself that most people do it fine and it's only tough for the first year really isn't it so be worth it in the long run. I think I'm 6dpo now, had 2 extremely faint (I think non exist any just wishful thinking haha) lines on 2 tests but just have to wait and see. I've never been so bloated! Don't think I'm due on until boxing day and it's dragginggggggg!
