Late AF - How long until I give up on getting a BFP?

Today is CD38 of cycle 12 for me. That’s very unusual as I’m normally between 28 and 32(max!) days. I’ve tested with both ICs and FRERs and none are showing me anything. I feel like I might see something on some of the more recent ones but nothing conclusive or that I can capture in a photo.

AF doesn’t even feel imminent. I have been feeling a bit sick for the last couple of days and I had awful nausea when pregnant with DD. I wasn’t TTC with DD so I can’t even compare how I feel now to how I felt then.

How long after AF was due do I give up looking for a BFP? Anyone else overdue and get their BFP late?

Ahh big hugs I remember how stressful it was when I was trying. It took untill I was 12 days late with my dad for a faint positive to show up. So I would try again with FMU on a sensitive test.

Thank you Cooper88. I have ordered a shit load some more tests which are all sensitive. I’m desperately keeping my fingers crossed...

Anyone else able to offer words of wisdom?

I've just got my bfp today! 5 days late for AF which is absolutely unheard of for me so been testing all week but only got a clear positive this afternoon. You're still in the game!

You can see the difference less than 24 hours has made between these tests for me so keep testing if AF doesn't come. Both cheapo tests from poundshop and wilkos.

Thank you! I will test tomorrow morning with FMU but I haven’t got any FRERs left.

I will then wait until Monday if it’s negative.

Never mind. Fairly sure AF is going to make her appearance today.

I was right.

Me and my partner had sex 12 days ago on my ovulation day. I’ve had sickness on a morning, bloating, so so tired and sore boobs. Did a test today and got a BFN - could I have tested early? I’ve not had a late period yet as I’m not due till next week.
