Positive test but did I do it wrong?

Hi, sorry if this is a long winded, tmi, or I'm just being an idiot worrying for nothing but I'm new to this whole thing, somehow managed to get previous tests done at doctors so home tests are new to me till today!
I am 4 days late with my period and feeling quite sick so bought the clear blue triple check pack and did the early detection test first thing this morning. I peed on the stick which turned pink but then both windows turned completely blue. They cleared up in seconds both leaving a very clear blue line though the results line was slightly faded. Is that a normal response for the test or a weird sort of dye run?
After speaking to my partner about the confusion we decided I should try the digital one. I wasn't sure if I had enough pee left to waste trying to aim so did it in a tub and put the test in. It didn't completely cover the stick but I tried to swish it around a bit to cover as much as I could. It came up positive. But I'm worried because I didn't do it completely the correct way it could be a false positive.
Ive been feeling a bit crampy with a few sharp pains that have developed over the past hour. I feel silly asking but I want to be certain I know what's going on with my body and could really do with some advice right now

Sounds like 2 positive tests - congratulations

It's normal enough to feel crampy in early pregnancy

Thank you! I feel I can relax a bit now and enjoy it :)

Congratulations! They wouldn't show up positive if the hormones weren't there. Smile

If it shows positive, it's positive.

Congratulations!

Thank you! Didn't even think it wouldn't show if non were present! All logical thinking went out the window!
