1-2 days late, negative clear blue

Hi all,

I am new here.

My cycle is anything between 31-32 days. I am on day 33 and had a negative clear blue digital this afternoon. I never get AF any later than day 33, which is pretty long as it is.

We are trying to conceive. Has anybody else had a negative when possibly only 1-2 days late? I know it can all depend when you ovulate. Surely if I was pregnant it would show up now?

I can’t help I’m afraid but I’m in the same boat so would be interested to see the responses. Currently CD35 and the longest cycle I’ve ever had is 33 days (average 26).

I tested on Saturday and Tuesday and bfn both times. I’ve had mild cramps and a bit of spotting this afternoon but no other symptoms.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it. I just want to know either way. I did do the ClearBlue Digital in the afternoon, that probably wasn’t the best idea.

Yesterday I did feel like I was coming on but today I feel absolutely normal.

I’m on cycle Day 33 now.

You can try with another brand, FRER it's the best. I would guess if it's negative, probably you're not pregnant and your AF is just a bit late, which can happen.

Hi @Mumma4262 and @Greywind1523 - I’m also late (CD33 and usually regular 28 day cycles).

Spotting for the last few days but dark brown not red/pink, and negative CB test on Monday. Contemplating taking a FRER (as I got one today) but just want to know either way. So annoying and it’s distracting me from the run up to Christmas!

Once we started ttc my regular 28-29 day cycles went a bit all over the place - wasn't coming off hormonal contraceptives either - might have been stress, might have been missed chemicals, no idea, but I got variation from 26 to 33. Drove me crazy.

Clear blue aren't great for early testing, but try a wait a day or two before testing again (I know, so so hard, but testing more gets so expensive and doesn't help!)

Yes, I’ve decided not to test again until the weekend if there’s still no sign of AF.

I’m coming up to 2 years of TTC now so gave up on early testing months ago. I only tested this time as my cycle has been the longest ever and my boobs felt more sore than normal.

I’ve had the bloods tests that show I’m ovulating and DH’s sperm analysis was fine. The GP won’t refer me for any more tests until we hit the 2 year mark so I guess that will be the next step if this isn’t our month.

I tested this morning, I had a clear blue lying around (not a digital one) and it came up with a (faint) line straight away before it even hit the control window. I’m still doubting it and will test again in a few days.

Hi, just to let you know. I got a faint positive on a first response and internet cheapie this morning. Tested with a clear blue digital this afternoon and came back not pregnant. I'm cycle day 29. Have read that digital doesn't pick up hcg levels as quick as first response. Fingers crossed for you!

I felt queasy this afternoon, not how but I’ve got a banging headache. My fingers are crossed for you! Yes I’ve heard digital are not as sensitive. Your faint positives definitely sound promising!! Flowers

Congrats on your pregnancy! For anyone else who this may help. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and did not get a positive until 8 days after AF was due and whilst using FRER.

Still no AF for me but the spotting has got heavier and the cramps more intense so I guess it won’t be long. I just find it strange that I’m now on CD37 which is more than 10 days longer than my average.

@Greywind1523 that is strange that it is 10 days longer than what yous re used to. Could it be implantation bleeding?

It seems too far down the line to be implantation bleeding as from what I’ve read it usually occurs a few days before AF is expected.

I assume for some reason I’m just having a really long cycle. Very strange!

Hello! I'm in a similar position, my period should have come Dec 7 so I'm now two weeks late but bfns even on First Response. I've had lots of EWCM and sticky mucus - don't know if this is a good sign or not? - and I don't think I've ovulated this week. So frustrating!

Hello! I’ve just joined this morning as I am really struggling and new to this ‘trying to conceive’ 🙄

I’ve been trying to get pregnant for a few months now and when I came off the pill at first my cycle seemed to go from 28 days to 40 days. This month however I am actually on day 51 with no period; not even an inkling it’s going to start.

I have been feeling awful tired and nausea the past couple days but have had a really bad cold for like four days lol so I just thought it was that.

Taken two clear blue tests both strong negatives; one a week ago and one this morning. Should I be going to the doctor? 🙄 x
