TTC smear test question ?

I am currently trying to conceive my third baby, and have just recieved letter for my smear test so have an appointment in a weeks time ! Is it ok to have a smear test while trying to concieve ? Can it affect results or affect chances of pregnancy ? I’ll obviously ask the nurse on the day but just wanted to know if anyone else had experience of this ? Thanks 😊

I had one of my last smears around the time I ovulated and I got pregnant that cycle so in my experience it didn't affect my chances. The only consideration would be what would you do if the smear shows up problems and you need treatment but you find that you're pregnant. My view was that it was too many "what ifs" that I'd be unlucky for them all to fall into line so I didn't not try that month.

Thank you, I was thinking it should be fine. That does worry me about the results especially as I naturally worry too much about everything as it is ! Also worried it may take longer to get results because of Christmas...thanks for your reply 🙂 x
