I’ve found a new way to inspire DH to take his spermy vitamins 😹 talk about a wild Saturday night

@Beau2020x @mumofboys17 I'm 12dpo today but getting af cramps bang on time. I get cramps for two days prior to it actually coming. I thought I was okay with it but then like I just had a little cry because it is frustrating while getting the bloody hot water bottle out. I was speaking to my OH and told him I'd looked up a sperm morphology test near us for only £100 and I asked if he would do it and he's like no not yet. I said are you going to wait a year and he replied maybe 😔 I'm not saying that he has a problem but why not just do it to cross it off? I've got a child I've been pregnant more than once and I'm bloody getting bloods done etc. Frustrating and saddening all in one tbf. Ttc is just draining as you all know. I know af isn't actually here yet but I know my body 🤷‍♀️
Anyway I'm going to eat chocolate biscuits because screw the diet today I need it.
I am glad to still be in the loop with you crazy ladies though!! 😊😜

@Ellsbells112 I'm sorry to hear AF is on her way. It is normal to be feeling deflated and miserable. Eat all the biscuits you want tonight and have a cry all you want. How long have you and your OH been trying again? Men are so reluctant I swear! I think it is probably to do with them worrying it is their swimmers being to blame and effecting their manliness and pride. Hopefully he will see how upset you are and have a think about getting a test to put both your minds at ease.

@Ellsbells112 stupid af, like @symptomspotter86 says, totally normal and eat all your feelings. Don’t think it’s fair for OH not to try a test, esp when it’s so upsetting. No one likes the idea of tests but sometimes it’s needed to put minds at ease

@quiffy @Symptomspotter86 exactly! Why not just double check so we know everything is okay? I know he's being a stupid man. I mean Ttc is hard anyway it'd be nice just to know that everything is working okay and then I can say OK it's annoying it's taking some time but there's no issues so it will happen at some point. I just don't want to get a year in, do tests and find out something is wrong that would really annoy me. We've "officially" been trying 5 cycles but I came off copper coil in April last year so it's been a little while really

Exactly, especially if there’s something that could be given to you to help. Maybe give it a week or so and ask again?

@quiffy yeah or even the frequency of dtd might need to be tweaked for it to work. Meh. We will see, I'll have to keep dropping hints every week hah. How long have you been trying?

@ellsbells112 this is cycle 6 for us, so not long really but still long enough for it to feel utter pish to not be pregnant 😹

@quiffy 6 months isn't a small amount of time though so I get it!! I mean the closer you will get to a year which is the "normal" time the more worrying it will be.
This morning my temp has dropped right down to just above my coverline and I was cramping super bad last night so af is well truly on her way! Looking forward to just getting the next cycle on!

AF arrived for me this morning.
I don't get why men see us do everything we can to help conception, buy when it comes to getting them to take vitamins or a test they aren't interested.
I'm hoping to get DH on some vitamins for this next cycle, he's not convinced at the moment.

@BntTowers @Ellsbells112 I agree I don't think there's any problem asking the other half to take some vitamins!! I got DH to last time but he was hesitant until we were a good 10-12 months in 🙄 bloody ridiculous isn't it lol must be a man thing.

Still no AF for me 😩 fml, had some horrible sharp and constant cramps since last night, still have pain now but a lot less sharp, started central but is now primarily on my left side. CD32 so highly doubt its ovulation pain 😐 nothing going on just white discharge.
Hoping posting it on here might entice it to start 😂😂
Just want AF to hurry up!!! So frustrating 😤

@Ellsbells112 if it makes you feel any better there is no way in hell my OH would do a sperm test even if it was free right now. He'd only do it if we had been trying aaages and the doctors asked. Men hate to potentially accept there is anything wrong with them.

We had an argument this morning because I said I would be taking the letrozole this cycle and online it says to dtd from cd12 every day till cd20. He's huffing and puffing saying maybe 😐 so I'm like all you have to do is stick your stupid dick in me okay its not that hard love you do nothing else!! 🙄 He was saying he wants a break from it. Fml mate men are so fragile it's unreal, I had to change my tactic and be all soft with him and say if I'm "stressful" this month then we can take a break. So that now means I'm not allowed to mention Ttc at all to him. Lol thank god for the crazy gang then!!!!! Men are like children it's quite upsetting, what's a month off going to do accept make me angry?

@BntTowers sorry af showed up 😪 look after yourself today, mine is defo gonna come today or tomorrow I'll be right there with you then we will nearly be cycle buddies!

What's everyone up to today?

@Ellsbells112 sorry to read all of that this morning, TTC is bloody stressful it's probably getting to him too. Me and DH both get annoyed every cycle that we fail even though we don't really talk about that, as also ends up in an argument! He moans at me for not having sex on the right days and I moan at him for being an arsehole 🙃😂

I've been off contraception since before DS was conceived so probs about 3-4 years in total 😂 my cycles are just really long. Tbf I'm not really 'late' until I go over 35 days. My body is just being a dick this cycle so trying my best not to think about it 🙄 xx

@Ellsbells112 I hear ya hun. Men are fragile little souls!! This is exactly why he doesn't want to know anything about the trying part. It's actually weird because we are both wanting a baby but neither talk about the active trying part 😂 he asked me the other day why I check if I am pregnant every single morning and I'm like no babe those are OPKs 😂😂 we do talk about it but not much, he just wants to know when I'm pregnant and that's it. Makes sense - what's the point about 2 people stressing about it?

@Beau2020x omg 😂😂😂 every morning hahaha!! That's cute 😂 bless him lol. Would you believe it was my DH who actually suggested to me (first time) about using ovulation tests! I just moaned to him now about CB digital being so expensive and DH literally rolled his eyes like 'your point?' 🙄😂
Going to get a thermometer as well but I don't always get up the same time every morning, and it says you should take it before you get up 😕 maybe I could do it at like 10am or something so even if I'm at work that day I should have been sat still for a little while 😂😂 what does everyone else do for temping?? @Mumofboys17 honestly my OH knows NOTHING about the female reproduction system!! As I previously mentioned, women only have one 'lady' hole apparently and argued with me that I was wrong when I said no there are 2 darling!
I've not been doing temping. Purely because I get up before OH and he'd be raging if I woke him up temping every morning 😂

Girls random question, not sure if I've asked it - anyone ever been TTC or pregnant on low dose of antidepressants? I'm on 50mg sertraline, reduced it down from 100mg. I'm not a manic depressive or anything like that, just suffered a bout of PTSD from loads of things that happened in my past as a child etc then had a bad car accident and it just all hit me as an adult. Catastophise everything. Absolutely fine now but I tried to come off but I am sooo much better with!

@Ellsbells112 oh 10000% it's a lonely old journey doing it on your own! Maybe just say okay you are done with trying now (be genuine and all that) play the whole reverse psychology on him. Swear to god if he's a normal male then he will he like shit no I want to try and then it's all his idea - you get me?

No I've got a while left yet, OV due in 4 days so the only thing I'm testing is OPKs haha x

@Beau2020x sorry to hear about all that's happened to you, but good to hear you're ok now x
I don't have any personal experience but the only thing that comes to mind is I believe it can effect your sex drive? Like turns you off completely so to speak. So I suppose with that theory maybe there could be something to it but I wouldn't say it's a definite no-go x

@Mumofboys17 oh honestly I'm more than fine, thank you! It wasn't a huge deal I was just an emotional wreck for a while. I don't think it's effected my sex drive too much which is good!

Reading all your OH stuff is crazy. My DH doesn’t get into the nitty gritty of using apps but he’s up there checking my opks and hanging about when I’m peeing in a pot, asking about fertile week etc. He jokes about not taking vitamins but he’s usually the one giving them to me.We had a big chat after he was struggling with pressure and now he’s far more open about it. Can’t imagine how hard it must be shouldering all the pressure :( @ellsbell112 that sounds horrific not being able to mention. Bloody men.

@Beau2020x sorry about past and glad you’re coping ❤️ I take amitriptyline for a chronic pain condition but I know it’s used as an antidepressant too, I’m not sure what will happen with it if we do conceive 🤔

I'm probably REALLY overreacting.. but I'm so confused. Had two small orange spots when wiping earlier (like unless you were looking - like I shamefully always do - you probs wouldn't have noticed) about an hour ago. Have had zero spotting since... now I've got all this tiny glimmer of false hope in my head 🤦🏼‍♀️ I still feel crampy. I had a little poke about (I don't really know what I'm feeling for) and there's zero blood just white cervical mucous. Am I going mad??! Probably. Aarghhgghhhhhgggghhhhhh
