Follicular scanning. What’s normal?

Hi all. Background... been ttc for around 15 months. Been for bloods all normal, had a hsg one blocked tube, now undergoing follicular scanning?

Just wondering if anyone has any info that can help! The nurses are lovely
But so vague. I have no idea what’s normal and what isn’t!! Please help!

It depends on when in your cycle they scan. On day 3, normally, they'd want to see 5-7 small follicles in each ovary. In a 28-day cycle, on day 10, there should be at least one that's grown bigger and at least one when you ovulate. You can ask the nurses to tell you everything they see on the screen, it's not complicated, so when you see it once, you'll know for the future.

@KatBeCool thanks for the reply. I started on Day 8 they just said normal said the same on day 10 Along with a more dominant follicle was found at about 10mm but also found what was thought to be a polyp on my cervix, then day 12 couldn’t find the polyp and said the follicle was about 12mm now day 15 only said not much change. I have to go back on day 17.

My cycles are irregular but the last few months have been around 31/32 days except the odd 1 that was 25. I hate being in the unknown. I thought I’d feel better being monitored but it’s so stressful.
