Implantation bleeding

Hi everyone,

I'm very confused, the other day I had red spots in my clear discharge accompanied with light brown bleeding. I didn't need a pad and only lasted a couple of hours. I'm not due on my period for another 2 weeks. I rang the doctors and she said it could be implantation bleeding.

Has anyone had this type of bleeding and ended up pregnant? And also when should I take a test? I took one last night and was a BFN :(

Hi! @avamcarthur So glad you posted this, I'm TTC after a pregnancy loss earlier this year - I'm 13 DPO and have been spotting for 48 hours. AF still not due for 2 more days and this is nothing like usual AF! Much lighter (only need a liners) but it is quite red as well as being pink and brown when I wipe and in the loo. No cramping either apart from some initial backache and it hasn't got any heavier. I'm desperately hoping it's implantation bleeding but really wishing it would stop!

I think you would need to wait until your missed period - could it be around the time of ovulation? I think that could cause spotting?

Xx

Hi,

I hope you are pregnant! Fingers crossed for you xxx yeah it did happen a day after my ovulation day but I've NEVER had spotting around ovulation that's why I'm thinking it could be implantation? Even the doctor said that it could be implantation! I really hope it is, Ive been trying to conceive for about 6 months now with no luck :(

I'm the same but only 8/9dpo... been trying since May and had a ridiculously long cycle this time which I thought was anovulatory until I suddenly got 'peak' on a clear blue digital OPK and my temps increased.

Literally just brown streak of CM each morning for past two days BUT I've had horrendous backache which I never usually get. Everyone been saying 'implantation bleeding' but don't want to get my hopes up 😫

If it happened just after ovulation it surely can't be implantation bleeding as you don't implant until 7-12 days post ovulation. If it happened the day after you thought you ovulated its more likely to be related to the ovulation itself or from your cervix as sometimes it can get a bit aggravated and bleed Smile

I didn't have it with my first but did with my second, and a pregnancy in between that wasn't viable. So I knew I was pregnant really early lol. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

And is happening with me. Spotted for two days, today no blood but discharge. Hoping it's not AF coming. Some months I have spotting before AF but never a day of no blood in between which is what's happened this month!

I thought the same as @sarahc336 that if it happened just after you ovulated it might not be implantation? That would take a bit longer?? It's such a confusing time though, I really hope you are pregnant too @avamcarthur!!! Xxxxx

@Heartofglass12345 what was yours like? I am just over 48 hours in and it's still going, very light spotting but still fresh in colour. I had a similar experience to you - no problems with my first (my DD) then a MC at 11 weeks. The timing for this is perfect for implantation bleeding but I wish it would stop now!!!!! Starting to give up a hope a bit... Sad

Fingers crossed for a BFP for you too @BewilderedBee and @91ld12

Mine only lasted a short time and I had slight cramping as well. I will keep my fingers crossed for you all 🤞🤞
