Wedding rings in pics?

Hiya! I've noticed that some people here post pictures of their pregnancy tests with their wedding bands or engagement rings in the shot, i.e. off their fingers and placed next to the test.

Why is that? Just for decoration? At first I thought maybe it was for scale, but unless you're taking tests the size of baseball bats probably not the reason.

I've been wondering this too??

I thought it was to make the line clearer / focus the camera on the test area

Part of me thought maybe people were weirdly trying to prove they weren't having kids out of wedlock lol.

I never understood it either but it makes sense now. Your wedlock comment made me laugh, that's what I'd thought too 😂
