Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

@Devgirl31 @fayy123 @NCON @MrsKJW19

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

24 years old.. DH is 27 TTC #1 and first cycle TTC. Attempted to follow SMEP but couldn’t. So far I’ve BD CD7,8,12,14,15,17 ( only a little bit on 17 According to DH😂🙈). Currently on CD 19.
And haven’t done it since 17.. got the flu! Not very hopeful this month could have done more! AF due on the 25th so in a week and a half! Good luck to everyone! X

29 Years old, DH is 32
TTC #1
Lost track of what cycle due to MMC etc but coming up to a year in total trying
CD 25/ 9DPO, due AF/ BFP around 18th / 19th so nearly there now!!
Had my work xmas party last night and may have been coerced into too many drinks so feeling a bit sorry for myself and hoping I haven't ruined all my chances. It's so tricky to know if its ok or not, who knows!

CD13/2dpo. AF/BFP due on 24/25th December.
DTD on CD8, CD9, CD10, CD11 and CD12. Peak OPK on CD10.

Cycle #2 after missed miscarriage in October at 12 week scan

Dtd yesterday afternoon. However over did it with the man last night and the hangover is REAL today. I'm done this cycle baby making sex wise, closed for business unless for pleasure for the rest of the month.

Im not sweating it this month, just trying to have fun and live life

Oh wow so there's a real mix of those of us in the follicular phase and those in their TWW! That's so exciting!!

Everyone please keep this thread updated.. I know it might sound silly but I scour MN for positive stories and positive HPTs as it really gives me so much hope. Now that I'm a real part of a thread (instead of just being a lurker like I sometimes am!) I'm really excited to see who has fallen PG this month and excited also to follow our journeys :)

@ChampooPapi that sounds heavenly! I'm sooo happy to be home from work in my pjs now! Ha we all had pizza for lunch at work, and had baked potatoes for dinner 😋
Feel like I might fall asleep any second, had to keep getting up to walk around at work so I didn't fall asleep! I do quite enjoy a hangover sometimes!

Hi, can I join?
We are TTC #3 had a MC in Oct 2018 after a year of TTC then another MC in Nov this year. Not had AF since that so if I get a bfn this month in going to give SMEP a go - nothing to lose!

@TunnocksTcake ha lol, I know what you mean as regards kind of enjoying the hangover lolling. But obviously only if you can luxuriate in it without work, god you must have felt like weeping in those pyjamas when you were finally horizontal in front of the telly Brew

Also the feeling the day post hangover is pretty good as you feel so much better in comparison to the previous day 🦸

@ChampooPapi hehe yeah I feel amazing today! So productive! 😂
I still have loads of creamy cm and felt a bit nauseous and headachey earlier today. Also had cramps... am 8do and trying to remind myself that I had all this last month and it was nothing so just telling myself it's all good signs my body is doing what it should. Will know either way soon enough.

I’m the same as well! I’ve been feeling similar! Felt cramping last week but prob only means period is coming! I’m due on the 21st 😒🙈

Hi all, mind if I join? I've been lurking but was trying to have a break from posting/obsessing!!

TTC no 1
Both 23
Lost count of cycle number, came off contraception 5 years ago for medical reason, used barrier methods for a while but became less so! Actually starting trying in the last couple of years.
Cycle day 23 (8DPO according to Fertility Friend).

I just started temping the last two cycles, ovulated CD18 last cycle and CD16 this one. Last cycle was off however as normally cycle length is 26/27 days but was 33 days as I ovulated late. Again ovulated late this cycle so AF due 23rd.

We tried SMEP but failed very early on! Only DTD CD8, 10, 14 and 18. Partner works evenings/nights and I start early so it's the working hours/time we struggle with!

Heyy! Welcome! DW SMEP is difficult to stick to espeacially when you’re both working full time and have draining jobs! I also tried it this month and failed epically lol. AF also due on the 21st. How long have you been TTC for? X and remember it only takes for it to happen one time at the right time for it to work! Do you use an app to track your fertile days? X

Hi! @fayy123 Yeah at the beginning we thought we can do this but then it just all fell through haha! Stopped contraception all together about 3 years ago, but wasn't very consistent using it for some time prior to that (same DP). Have been more actively trying for over a year now, obviously it's been a long time but doctors didn't really take me seriously because we're both so young. I have had bloods, an external and internal ultrasound which were all fine, DP doesn't want to go for any tests yet.

I keep telling myself the reason we've not conceived is because previously we rarely DTD due to working hours. I use Fertility Friend and Flo to track.

How are you feeling? I've had some cramping yesterday and today.

Aww yeah it could just be not DTD enough because you’re both so young and seem to be fine etc.. hopefully you’ll get your BFP soon! This my first cycle ‘proper ttc’ and still don’t feel that I’ve done the deed enough myself. When was the last time you DTD? And how many times did you BD this cycle? I tried to use OPK sticks but didn’t get a positive so got fed up and stop testing half way.. DTD CD 7,8,12,14,15,20 currently on CD21 We are all mostly due our AF/ BFP around the same time on this thread x

@fayy123 Thank you, I hope so! You've done it more times than me, fingers crossed it's enough I think you've got a good chance!! :) I only BD on CD8, 10, 14 and 18 :( Currently CD 23. Fertility Friend and Flo apps predicted I ovulated on CD 16 going by my temperature and CM so I'm not bothered by trying to continue BD now will just do it if we want, but next month will really try more often haha.

Best of luck everyone and hopefully we'll start to see some BFP! I won't be testing unless AF doesn't show on time

Ahhh just want to get preggo so I don’t have to think about this again 😭😭 it’s so draining thinking about it because it’s the only thing I’m thinking of.. and you’re so excited when you’re trying for your first! What do you work as? And when is your AF due?

@fayy123 It really is draining!! I work in a vets, animal nursing assistant but I'm also the only receptionist for the small branch so I start early as I have to open up etc. AF is due 23rd

Guys my period is not due for another week! And Ive got period like cramps right now but very mild.. just went to the toilet and when I wiped there’s literally the tiniest dots of blood on the toilet paper 😕😕😕😕 does this normally happen a week before AF

@fayy123 what DPO are you? Could it be implantation bleeding?

I've followed SMEP to the dot this month 3 days DPO here so last BD tomorrow then that's the plan finished for this month. My app says I can take a pregnancy test Christmas day! How amazing would a BFP be 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
