Hi everyone, just making this thread as it seems a few of us will be trying SMEP to TTC! Adding these lovely ladies in from another thread but I hope everyone feels free to join! All welcome :)

Some stats about me:

TTC #1
27 years old, DH is 28 years old
Missed miscarriage in October 2019 at 7+2 weeks
Still in that cycle (no AF yet)
Long and irregular cycles, some anovulatory
Suspected low progesterone/hypothyroidism (I think this based on symptoms, not diagnosed yet!)

Hope we can all provide support for each other in this crazy TTC journey.

Btw what is SMEP?

Ohhh okay. What CD was that when you got a positive OPK? And was you testing at different times each time? I keep forgetting to test at the same time! My app says I was ovulating yesterday. And the flo app says I’m ovulating today lol I can feel cramps tho

@Healthypositivity dont worry about it im now not sure if i can see a like either now 🙄 ill wait until Tuesday when im off now..

@fayy123 i dont actually think it was positive just high.. i done and opk tonight and its getting darker.. hopefully you'll ovulate tomorrow 🤞🏼

@Diamond94 are you experiencing any symptoms ATM?

Lol Just took a test now and it’s still very negative. How many times did you BD so far ? Hopefully I’ll ovulate tmmrw! And I get a positive OPK😤

I have egg white and watery CM though! Literally discharging like a fountain 😂😂 sorry TMI

Will OPK tomorrow as haven’t done one today as away, not sure whipping out a pissy stick is the most romantic of things! Lol.

Expected to OV CD11/12 (Wednesday or Thursday) so will DTD Tuesday again.

Hi @Diamond94 i usually am a chilled person anyway but since coming off the pill i was so anxious. So i took a break an we decided to take a more chilled approach. It will happen when it happens.
No children for us yet iv been on the pill for about 7 years so this is all new to me. What about you?

@Healthypositivity its sperm meets egg plan. Basically means DTD every other day then every day for three to four days when ovulating.

@Healthypositivity no symptoms other than sensitive boobs which isnt like me!

@Lucy5546 no iv no children yet either, im the same, was on pill 9 years.. when i think about it its actually crazy that we're allowed to take it for so long x

Good morning all, hope all is well.

Soooo I think I might to a test this morning, just to put me at ease.

Pheww test was negative. Still having what could be pregnancy or AF symptoms. This has been going on since I had the brown/pink spotting, on Dec 4th.

How many days past ovulation are you? Did you do 3days in a row? Or just 2? X

Hello guys! Need some help! Isit positive that a OPK will not pick up your LH surge! I’ve been testing from CD8 and have not got a positive OPK yet! Last month I got my positive on CD12. This is the closest to a positive I’ve had so far! And this was on CD11! (Thursday) what do you guys think?

I’ve also had loads of watery CM and almost egg white as wel x

@fayy123 I have only ever had one positive on an ic cheap when I happened to be home at 11am on a Saturday, was gone by 4pm. I ovulated the following day. So you could have short surges too maybe and just missed it? How many times a day do you test?

I test once a day! But had been BD every other day or every 2days

@fayy123 you will be covered either way then, and hopefully you will still see a fade back to nothing. I think most people test 2x day with the ics - late morning and early evening just so they don't miss the surge, that's why I changed to clear blue! Couldn't keep up with all the poas, so much faff!

I’m using flo and period tracker at the moment, and both are predicting Saturday and Sunday and can feel ovulation pain on the left.. I’ve BD Friday, Sunday and Monday. Couldn’t do Saturday hubby was away! X

So my pink staining has turned into AF I believe 🙄.. suppose this could happen since iv only been off pill 6 weeks.. and my friend and work randomly told me she thinks she's pregnant today.. why is this so stressful 😓

I have failed in delayI got OV. I got the below last night. Not a full on positive but a high on Premom. That was on CD9.

So far here’s what’s happened:

CD8 BD PM, got a bit carried away and BD CD9 AM, below OPK last night (CD9) and BD this morning CD10.

Confused when I should I BD next? Tonight or tomorrow morning? Then again the following day, Miss a day then BD again? X

Ohh no! Don’t be disheartened. Has it arrived in full force yet? And what CD are you on now? What day did you ovulate? X

@LosingtheTTCplot I don't think it matters so long as it's once a day! That is already a lot, no need for multiple times a day. I read somewhere that the same amount of sperm gets there in the end anyway, just in smaller doses if you dtd more often!

I am 5dpo I think and got loads of creamy cm this morning! Thought I was going to see blood it was that much! Far too early for it to mean anything of course!

I think I’ll see what the OPK says tonight, then DTD again tomorrow morning and the following morning then rest, then DTD again Saturday. Didn’t use preseed any BDing, so will use that tomorrow morning.

Hopefully will have covered the bases. Have done the pillow under the bum afterwards as well.
