Constant disappointment tww

Hiya
I’m feeling so deflated so just wanted to come on here and share.
I’m due af tomorrow and up until now I’ve had no symptoms which is very unusual for me. This led to me stupidly getting my hopes up that this could be our month... famous last words.
A few hours ago I had brown spotting when I wiped and I’m having THE WORST heavy feeling/cramps. I never get it this bad so it’s becoming increasingly more obvious that the wicked witch is making up for a symptom free tww.
Every month I’m disappointed and I just don’t know how much more disappointment I can take 😭

What a horrible disappointment! I’m sorry.
I had the same thing last cycle, as we had a treatment cycle that was supposed to be really positive. It got to 13DPO and I was feeling so hopeful as I had no usual period symptoms. I then had a tiny bit of spotting and was so excited as I immediately thought late implantation, but then the next day, AF came with a vengeance!

Right thread at the right time...

I’m halfway through the TWW. Have been so optimistic this week and tonight just crashed. I’m so fucking over it.

Sorry no advice - but you’re not alone. I think the worst is that I thought I’d be pregnant by Xmas when we started trying at the start of this year.

I’m sorry you guys are in the same situation 😔
I think Xmas coming up has definitely made things worse as I had allowed myself to get excited about surprising family on Christmas Day.
It’s just so hard isn’t it. I never realised how difficult it would be ttc, mentally and emotionally more than anything else.
Hopefully we’ll wake up tomorrow a bit more positive. Have tonight to feel sorry for ourselves and come back smiling tomorrow 🤞🙌

@annie20019 @Enp2019 I just had a big old snotty cry on DH... definitely the evening for it.

I’m putting it down to 1 December, everyone saying ‘right it’s actually xmas’ meaning it gets rammed home. Plus we start tests after this period if it doest happen which is hard too.

Thinking of you both tonight - completely agree that tomorrow is another day.

I’m ok thanks. Af ended up coming 3 days late this month which meant we were even more disappointed after thinking it could have been our month 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have been poorly this week, so feeling a little sorry for myself! I have caved in and brought a test, while I don’t think it is our month, I need to rule it out before contacting the GP!

@Annie20019 I’m good thanks lovely, how are you? Away with friends this weekend which is a lovely distraction but can’t help symptom spotting. Nothing too AF-y right now but not daring to hope...

Tomorrow is AF due date so trying to decide whether to test with DH in the bathroom of our air bnb or wait until Monday... decisions! Saying that she’ll probably show up overnight so 🤷🏻‍♀️Grin

Thank you... DH and I hid in the bathroom at our Airbnb and now trying frantically to look normal in front of our friends!!

18 years ago I was in your shoes, in the 2ww for my 5th ivf cycle, we'd put 3 embryos back after a mc on cycle 2 and 5 years of disappointment, and then we got a positive just before Christmas. Our son is 17 now. The heartache is real, I truly feel for you, it was so hard.

We went on to try again, 6th go failed, 7th go success! 8th cycle was to use frozen embryos that we had left, it failed too, so we decided to do one more fresh cycle and call it a day! We had twins from our 9th cycle!

Then after 12 years of unprotected sex and 9 rounds of ivf we got pregnant naturally.

I never thought after all the heartache I would end up with five children but here we are 18 years later after that first success

Don't give up! You'll get there, it will be worth it

Ahhh congratulations @annie20019! I honestly thought the day would never come so there you go! Also in shock...

Guess it just proves it can happen in the end - not that I’d have believed my positivity at any point between Feb and now.

I’m in shock if I’m honest. I don’t feel pregnant in the slightest.
