Constant spotting between ovulation & period

For the past 2 cycles I've had constant spotting between ovulation & my period.

Last cycle I had a transvaginal scan so put the spotting down to that, and ended up spotting for 7 days before my period started properly.
This time I've been spotting for 3 days, since 4dpo.

I've had ovulation spotting before but it usually only lasts 2 days.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve had a variety of spotting between ovulation and my period. It’s usually around 7-10dpo and can last for 2-3 days or I can get spotting up till my period on and off. I started tracking my cycles at the start of the year and we started trying to conceive last month. I never thought to worry about the spotting until I started to read women saying they were worried about it.

I spotted last month from about 10dpo for 3 days, looked exactly the same as normal. I’m a couple of days late so took a pregnancy test and turns out I’m pregnant. So I think for me spotting is/was a normal part of my cycle and it wasn’t always the same length or days. I do think it can be completely normal and doesn’t necessarily mean anything about how you will conceive.

Hi!
I have the same issue... Normally I spot around ovulation, normally one or two days after I ovulated ans it lasts 2 to 3 days... last cycle lasted 4 days! And then I get spotting 4 days before my period!
I've been worrying sick about this!
@Sarahlouise86 thanks for your story! This gives me hope!

I had really started to worry myself too, I had it in my head I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, it’s funny how you can go from being a rational person to the complete opposite in such a short space of time!
From what I understand if spotting is normal for you then it’s not something to worry about, although so many chat boards are full of worried women.

My sister had exactly the same and has gone on to have 3 children. Wishing everyone the best of luck xx

Thank you ladies!

I always spot a few days before my period, and occasionally around ovulation for 1-2 days, so I panicked when it was everyday from day 16 to day 26.
I've had day 1 & 21 days bloods, all come back fine, I'm not low in any hormones, also had a pelvic scan last cycle and that was normal, Dr said if there was anything on my overies or womb the scan would of picked it up, so she's not worried about it.

I spot from 6dpo have worried so much about this. Had 1 & 21 day bloods and transvaginal ultrasound- all normal. Have been ttc a year, hoping my time is soon.

Thanks to you all!
I've had Day 1 bloods (not 21 yet), transvaginal ultrasound, ovarian reserve test, and I've been checking ovulation (tests and ovulation curve temperature), and all normal.
I wish us all a positive response soon! Who knows, maybe before Christmas!! Xmas Smile
