How long did it take you?

Hello everyone. My name is pearluniverse and I am TTC for the first time. I came off my combined pill a few days ago and to be prepared I bought some pre-pregnancy vitamins etc. For those of you who went the same route as me (coming off combined pill) how long did it take for you to get pregnant? I understand that it varies from person to person but just wanted to ask......

You're probably best asking this on the Pregnancy board as most of us in Conception are still waiting (although of course the second/third/etc timers will have previous to draw on).

For me I'm in the 2ww of cycle 8 with everything crossed, although I came of the pill a year before starting to try (used condoms until then).

Fingers crossed it happens quickly for you - I know what it's like, when you decide you want a baby you want one yesterday! - but as someone who's been doing this for nearly 10 months now thanks to long cycles I would just say try really hard not to get hung up on how quickly/slowly others have taken to get pregnant. It can literally happen from the first instance of unprotected (or even protected, sometimes!) sex, to taking years and years. Your 'journey' with TTC is yours alone, so focus on your own path and try not to get distracted by anyone else's Sorry, that's probably mega unhelpful! Just trying to spare you from some of the heartache comparison can bring..!
