What is this line? Not Pregnant.

Done a few of these cheap One Step tests over the past few days and they all look like this.

FRER is negative and I'm 99% sure I'm starting my period and don't feel pregnant. So what is this?! Is this what they call an evap line or are these tests just a bit rubbish?!

I always seem to get a line like this on these, I think it’s an evap line. That’s what I’ve always assumed anyway.

Looks like an evaporation line. It's basically where you can faintly see the second little strip that would have turned red if you were pregnant, because it's absorbed urine, and is now drying up. I would test again in a few days to be sure if you still haven't had your period though!

Thanks for the replies! I've always wondered what an evaporation line was so I guess now I know! I don't think I'll be trusting them! The FRER didn't have an evap line....shame they're so much more expensive!

Where did you get the test from? I've had 4 babies and all the tests I ever used were cheapies, they always came up positive straight away

I got them off Ebay. I've had positives from the same batch so I know they can work. But I've only ever had either positive or nothing....not this weird in between!

To clarify...positives from a previpus pregnancy - not this month!

Personally I've never had the evap lines/ false positives either, but I can imagine how frustrating it is!

It is soooo frustrating! Thankfully I listened to my body and didn't get excited over the 'line'. After a miscarriage followed by a chemical, it would have been nice. I'd love to be the kind of person who doesn't test until after AF is due! Goal for next month.
