Fertility treatments .

So .. me & my partner have been ttc for 3 an a half years , I’m not having regular periods ( very hit and miss ) I cannot be put on clomid because of some other health conditions.
I have a pelvic scan next week , have been referred for fertility treatment ( didn’t really say what sort ) I’m guessing Maby ivf ? as he said I’d need some help to get pregnant. I’m not sure ?
Can someone tell me What are the chances of convening with ivf ? I’ve never been pregnant before.

Depends on your age....below 30 years old and it's probably around 40% - over 43 years old and it's more like 2%

Hi @Lifesforloving1 - there are so many things that affect the chances of success, it's impossible to guess. Age is definitely on your side - at 26, your eggs are likely to be of good quality and plenty of them.

They might not go straight to IVF as there are other things that could be tried first - IUI, for example - depending on what your tests show up.

I'd just like to say, though, that whatever issues are found, there is usually a way forward - I had to resort to donor eggs, it took 4 cycles, and it was hard going but we were prepared to go through it all. It just depends how far you want to go, whether that's financially, emotionally, physically etc.

You're at the very beginning of your journey so I hope your case is a straightforward one. Whatever happens you'll get lots of support on the fertility boards in here. Good luck!
