Hello ladies, this is my first post. Have been TTC for 8 months since coming off of the pill, it's been a rollercoaster but my last cycle I had my first proper period which I was happy about as it means my body is getting back to normal!

Last night I stupidly decided to test very early at 7DPO, after looking at the test for only 30 seconds I threw it in the bin as I knew it was too early. I went back into the bin an hour later lol and I'm sure I can see a faint line?? The thing is I don't know when the line appeared. I'm due on AF tomorrow and so far no sign of it, but there's obviously a good possibility that it could be an evap line and I could just be a couple of days late and that's why I have no PMS/PMT symptoms ?

I have done about 15 of these brand of pregnancy tests over the past 6 months (One Step early detection) and even after looking after hours and days there's never been a line before.... honest opinions please!?

Please could somebody let me know how to upload a photo? I cannot see any paperclip or anything that I can click on to upload.... Thanks!

Hello I also use one step test strips and am currently getting faint lines that get darker over time. I get the same with one step OPKs, so must just be that the dye strengthens over time.

My understanding is that if the test line is coloured, then it's a positive. If it's grey, then it's likely an evaporation line. I'd keep testing daily with FMU on these one step test strips, seeing how cheap they are. If you see a progression over time then must be a good thing.

I'd meant to say: hopefully congratulations! I know how frustrating the TTC process can be

@AriadneO thank you so much for your detailed reply! I would love to post a photo of the result, any idea how I can do that? I'm new to this!

@AriadneO I meant to say congratulations and also how many DPO were you when they started to get darker? Thanks

I'm not sure congratulations are in order just yet, as I'm having difficulty interpreting my own tests. I first tested on what the app said was 12 DPO and the one on 13 DPO did look a bit darker. I think one steps can be a bit unreliable like this, and I'd just keep testing daily and hopefully even if it's not darker day on day, there will be a trend towards darker as time passes. I hope it's a BFP for you!

EmMdy · 21/11/2019 18:05

@AriadneO please keep me posted. I don’t have a paperclip so can’t post photo, never mind! Wishing you the best to get an obvious BFP

@Shadea10 my test is different to yours so I can’t compare but I’d say the line is there but it’s not clear enough to see if it’s grey or a colour. I believe grey and white are evap lines. Keep us posted and good luck! I’m 8dpo too :)

On my iPad I have a little bit at the bottom that says choose file, that’s how I add. Might be easier on a computer?

Fingers crossed for you!

EmMdy · 21/11/2019 18:12

Ah yes good point il try on my iPad. There was nothing on the PC at work either...odd! Thank you
