TTC over a year. Feeling hopeless

This is my first post, although I've visited this forum countless times over the past 16 months I've been TTC baby #1. I had a missed MC at 10 weeks in September (identical twins) after 12 months of TTC. Now the thought of being back into the routine of counting down days to ovulation and the TWW seem like too much to bear.

Just hoping to hear from those of your that have been in a similar situation and had positive outcomes. Tips on how to stay calm would also be great...although I feel that may be impossible.

I'm starting acupuncture soon. While me and my partner (I'm 37 and he's 38) have 'no apparent problems' that are preventing it from happening, I'm hoping acupuncture may be a help. Anyone tried this and had success??

So sorry to hear about what youve been through. Mine is a happy story in the end- we tried for a year with nothing at all and even spoke to the gp about testing. Then i got pregnant and at 6 weeks I got pain and found out it was ectopic and my tube had ruptured- I had to let them take my baby who still had a heart beat to save my life. I then found out my best friend was pregnant again with a due date almost identical to mine would have been and I didn't know how I could face the future.
But then even with only one tube left I got pregnant the next month and she's now 15 months old and amazing.
Keep hoping... even when you suffer set back after setback a miracle can happen. Rainbows come after rain for a reason. I'm now back here with hope that we can get lucky again. x

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time. It took about a year for us to conceive our daughter. Since then I've had three pregnancies, caught foray time on each one and they've ended in two miscarriages and an ectopic. Currently trying again and this will be the last time, whatever happens.
Suppose I just wanted to say that it happened for us even though it took time. Good luck xx

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having a hard time and that you suffered a loss. That must have been awful for you Flowers. I've been ttc with my dh for over 3 years now and it is a tough road. My best advice is not to put a lot of pressure on yourself. I used to track cycle days, use OPKs, track my temperature, but it was making me obsessive and miserable.

All I do now is track my periods on an app, as they can be irregular. Another thing that helped me was yoga. I just do it at home following YouTube videos but it helps me to relax. And most importantly, look after yourself. If you need to spend a day in your pj's eating a pizza and watching movies, do it. Good luck op x
