Positive LH tests... 6dpo???!

Little confused. I have my LH surge on CD13. We DTD all through my fertile window. As always I continued to LH test after, and low and behold: negative tests for a week. Only difference this time is CM has remained plentiful and slippery.
Now I woke up this morning and thought because of that I should do another LH test. Curiosity and all...
So I have very positive LH tests again! This is 6dpo now, from my last surge! And this wasnt first morning pee. This was fairly diluted pee so now Im a bit lost. So we dtd again after I noticed just to be sure.

Anyone else have this happen ever? This is 100% a first for me since I continue to track my LH after my peaks.

I have heard you can ovulate that quickly after your period if your cycle is irregular. I have also heard that sometimes you test positive for ovulation when you are pregnant. Something about the tests pick up LH and also HCG hormone levels.

Two options that I can think of:

Your OPKs ar picking up HCG, which would mean you are pregnant. 6dpo is a little early for that though, but it’s not impossible.

you may not have ovulated the first time. Are you irregular? A common PCOS problem is that LH levels may not quite trigger ovulation. If that happens, your body tries again 5-7 days later (this is what I get every cycle, the second one is when I actually ovulate)

My cycles are generally 28 days. Ive never been diagnosed with PCOS, but I suppose it could be? I guess Ill just keep checking the LH tests for a few days and see if it peaks out again... Ive never had this happen in my cycle but it could definitely be ovulation. My first one peaked and then went negative so I figured I had definitely ovulated but its also possible that it didnt actually occur...
I have 8 days until my expected period. This is going to be tedious waiting 😅

Well, you dtd either way, so you’ve got your bases covered. When this happens to me, my period is “late” according to the first OPKs, so if that is what has happened it might be more than 8 days till you get a definite answer I’m afraid.

@kense morning! Any update on this? I'm looking for answers myself to similar concerns! I'm due on soon and have been getting postive OPKS Getting stronger over the past few days, I am pretty sure I have ovulated already and am on CD27 now! X

Ok, so it looks like ovulation. There was two whole days of peak with left sided cramping. Now my cervix is high and tightly closed (Ive had two babies so its normally more open). And now my LH tests are still reading high and getting darker. So Im going to keep an eye on them for the rest of this cycle. The othee change Ive noticed is really sensitive downstairs area. Almost yeasty but without the actual infection... if that makes any sense. SO I still dont know but my LH tests havent dropped off yet so maybe its a good sign at this point.
