How long after miscarriage did you start trying again?

I know the advice is that there's no need to wait any longer than your first period afterwards, but when did you feel ready to start trying again?

Part of me wants to start trying again as soon as possible, but another part of me doesn't know if I could go through it all again so soon.

I've just stopped bleeding after a miscarriage and I think we'll start as soon as I've had a period, so wait a month and then start on my first normal cycle again. It's scary though isn't it as I'm paranoid it'll happen again, in just keeping faith that I know a lot of people that have had a miscarriage. But then do go on to have a normal and healthy pregnancy
