I had my first appointment with a gynecologist yesterday as we've been TTC for 12 months. I'm 36 and he's 45. I came away with a list of blood tests ( my Gp sent me for the wrong ones prior to my appointment) and I've to ring the xray dept on Day 1 of my cycle to book in for a HSG test. I've read that people successfully conceive after having one 🤞. But I wanted to ask the ladies that have had one did you go alone or did your partner go with you? X

I've had 2 and went on my own - they really weren't too bad in my opinion but then my tubes weren't blocked (heard it can be painful if they are)

I was told I couldn't drive myself home so DH came with me. Public transport would be fine.

It was uncomfortable whilst it was happening, but over very quickly. I didn't get pregnant in the months afterwards.
