Could I be pregnant?

Okay so I know there are plenty of posts on this forum like this but I’m looking for some feedback specific to what I’m feeling.

My period is due today but no sign of it. No cramps either. And I normally get some bowel movement in the lead up to (sorry TMI) but this hasn’t happened either. I do however have sore breasts, mild cramps (comes and goes) and extra discharge. I did experience pretty strong cramping pains on Sunday night which I thought was maybe the start of AF but nothing. They only last a couple of hours though, similar to the implantation pains I had with my first baby, but it was different this time in that it wasn’t followed by some bleeding.

Now I’m on the mini pill and I’m pretty consistent with taking it. I’ve never forgotten to take it one day but I’m occasionally a bit later than usual.

Logically I can’t be pregnant cause I’m on the mini pill, but it’s sure for me wondering.

Thoughts?

If AF doesn’t show then I’ll take a test in the morning.

Also apologies for the many typos in that post. They’re sure gonna bug me!

You might just have ovulated late.

If you ovulate 3 days later your period will be delayed by 3 days. Because your Luteal phase (number of days between ovulation & period) will generally always be the same.

Hope that makes sense.

Yes that makes sense. I guess in that case I’ll leave it for a few days and see what happens since it seems so unlikely, even if it would be a lovely surprise!

Okay so this happened this morning.

Could this be a false positive? I just don’t see how if I’m on the mini pill and haven’t missed any!

Of course you can be pregnant if you’re on the mini pill! All contraception has a failure rate and you said yourself that you don’t always take it on time.

False positives are very rare; you’re pregnant.

AmIThough · 14/11/2019 07:33

That's a definite positive OP.

These things happen, contraception isn't guaranteed.
Especially if you've been sick or anything recently.

Congratulations Grin

That's definitely not a false positive!! A very strong positive result.

Congratulations x

Thank you everyone! It’s a shock to say the least, but a happy one of course. It’s only just starting to sink in now.

So strange how you have a feeling something is different even though logic suggests something else.

Good luck to anyone else TTC!x
