To say there is a faint line?!

Am I completely nuts or is there a super duper faint line on this test? Grin

Going to retest in a few days as I suspect too early to tell..

To say there is a faint line?!

Vampyress · 14/11/2019 05:05

I see a very very faint second line, fingers crossed for you OP :)

littlehappyhippo · 14/11/2019 12:53

Can people please quit the bullshit comments like 'better get to specsavers !' And 'U lot must have TERRIBLE eyes! The second line is CLEAR AS DAY.'

No we don't have terrible eyes. My eyesight is perfect ta! Hmm There's something wrong with YOUR eyes if you are seeing a second line on the first pic the OP posted!

There is NOT a second line on the pic the OP posted in her original post!. Stop saying there is, and stop saying ' I see it, congratulations OP!'

Congratulating someone for being pregnant based on the test the OP posted first is such a horrible thing to do. There is no guarantee she is pregnant, and you are filling her mind with false hope.

The second pic she posted at 21.09 yesterday appears to have a faint second line, but that is still no guarantee of a positive. And the FIRST pic had no second line.

WTF is wrong with some people? Confused WHY are they saying there is definitely a second line when there isn't? (On the first pic I mean!)

And why do people keep posting these bloody threads? They never have a second line, and there is no AIBU Confused

MyDcAreMarvel · 14/11/2019 12:59

There is a line that’s why posters are saying there is. You can’t hallucinate a line, you can however not see one if you eyesight or web device is not quite as good as someone else’s.

MyDcAreMarvel · 14/11/2019 13:01

The line is ever so slightly to the right past the silver dots. It’s very faint but it is there. Whether it’s an evap or a positive I couldn’t say but it exists.

MrsWillGardner · 14/11/2019 13:03

@littlehappyhippo

Agree.

PS you feeling ok?!

MrsWillGardner · 14/11/2019 13:04

PPS the 2nd photo wasn’t posted by OP

strawberrieshortcake · 14/11/2019 13:26

I absolutely cannot see anything it im not wearing my glasses right now so that could be it

MyDcAreMarvel · 14/11/2019 13:52

The line is there

To say there is a faint line?!
littlehappyhippo · 14/11/2019 15:10

Sorry I didn't realise the second pic was not the OP's.

So yeah there is DEFINITELY not a second line on this pregnancy test. (on the OP's pic on post 1.)

Also, there is DEFINITELY nothing wrong with my EYES or the WEB DEVICE I am using, (PMSL at 'web device!') And yeah people are imagining this line, and wanting it to be there for some bizarre unfathomable reason.

But there is no second line.

@MrsWillGardner Yeah I'm OK ta. Grin

I just get so irked by these threads, posting a clearly 'not positive' pregnancy test, and all the posters coming on saying 'oooh, I see a line. CONGRATULATIONS OP!' Flowers And other ludicrous predictable guff like 'posters who can't see this must have SUCH POOR EYESIGHT!' Hmm

It pisses me off, and it's such a horrible thing to do, to build up a posters hopes (especially when it's bloody obvious that the test is not positive!) Hmm

@MyDcAreMarvel You are wrong. And you also need to get YOUR 'web device' checked, and you also need to get a sight test... (along with a number of other posters on this thread.)

Because I have a 21 inch screen on my 'web device' here, and trust me, there really is no second line.

Awaits all the predictable and inevitable 'why are you so invested in this thread,' and 'why are you so angry' comments......... Wink

littlehappyhippo · 14/11/2019 15:15

I'm hiding this thread now, as it's pissing me off.

Notifications are off too. So I won't get any notification of anyone @ ing me in

Just saying.

Ta-ra.

AmICrazyy · 14/11/2019 15:18

@littlehappyhippo I really didn't expect such passionate responses over this thread, I know not to post again! I've recognised that if there is something there it's very faint and will be retesting anyway blah blah. Was genuine question am I the ONLY one who can see it, clearly you can't see it and that's fine and you've shared that. I can assure you my hopes are not up from others posting (and if they were you have well and truely crashed me back to reality Wink)

OP posts:
AmICrazyy · 14/11/2019 15:19

Just saw the last response if you do see this I'm astonished at how you can be so pissed off at something that doesn't effect your life. Have a nice day 'happy' hippo. Slightly ironic name

This is the AIBU forum, they deserve all they get.

Post in correct places ffs it's not rocket science.

Stuckinanutshell · 14/11/2019 15:30

I’m not sure I understand threads like this. It might genuinely be ignorance on my part but if you need to ask the internet if there is a line then it’s too faint and will need a retest in a few days. Just wait?

I do understand the excitement and anxiety as it took me years to conceive but I always waited the full two weeks and if I couldn’t be sure of a line retested.

So many arguments over whether there is or isn’t a line when line will tell in only a few short days.

AmICrazyy · 14/11/2019 15:32

Requesting for this to be removed will create a new thread in the 'right' place at a later date.

People told me Mumsnetters were angry but fucking hell - why do people get so riled up over nothing?! Learnt my lesson from posting in the wrong section of the website about the wrong thing and asking the wrong type of question... So sue me! 🤣

OP posts:
decbaby19 · 14/11/2019 15:33

Aww @AmICrazyy ignore them! If they don't like a post they should ignore it and move on. Must be very angry and unhappy people Wink

But in response to your original post, I am pretty sure I can see a line!? Good luck! Xx

AmICrazyy · 14/11/2019 15:34

@Stuckinanutshell was just a moment of madness clearly, I had noone in real life to share with. Wish I hadn't bothered now 🤣 won't be doing it again Grin

OP posts:
Autumntoowet · 14/11/2019 15:34

My goodness people calm down 😣

I can see a line.

Faint.

Now, it is faint so really anything can happen.

However. All this arguing about having good or bad eyes etc.

People have different phones, different settings, different lighting and yes, people see things differently. Just because you don’t see something you can’t get all angry and say it is impossible that anyone else can see it. I used to work in a lab and believe me, people don’t see everything the same.

Househunt1 · 14/11/2019 15:42

little happy hippo so you're happy to say comments but then can't handle anyone responding to you? Give it but can't receive it? Just because you can't see a line doesn't mean others cant! Why you so passionate?! You may be wrong!!

I seen a line, yes it was hard to see at first but I seen it, I always thought a line was a line but scarily I had 2 lines that came up on separate tests twice throughout the year and then the lines disappeared and I wasn't pregnant, so that baffled me, still does!!

I hope you get what you want!! Please let us know, can't you take a test that tells you if you're pregnant without missing a period I'm eager to know now haha

steff13 · 14/11/2019 15:43

Why do people always get so nasty with one another on these threads? Comments like, "I don't know WHAT people think they're seeing," or "If you can't see a line your eyesight must be terrible!" are so rude an unnecessary. Can't we just agree to disagree without the vitrol?

HeresMe · 14/11/2019 16:10

Aww @AmICrazyy ignore them! If they don't like a post they should ignore it and move on. Must be very angry and unhappy people wink

It's not nasty where is the AIBU

It's not that hard to post on right section of site. unless you think you are special and rules don't apply.

AmICrazyy · 14/11/2019 16:20

@HeresMe I'm waiting for this to be removed but sod it I'll bite.
First time poster as I've said before wasn't expecting people to even give a shit to respond and yes I posted in the wrong place. Sorry!
But seriously, why do you care so much where stuff is posted? Are you the MN police? Surely if you don't want to engage or see a post get attention you would just ignore rather than keep posting and getting involved. I assure you I don't think I'm special nor that the 'rules' don't apply. I have learnt my lesson Smile

Side note:being on AIBU doesn't mean you get to be a complete prick to the poster (referring to the 'they deserve everything they get' comment)

OP posts:
HeresMe · 14/11/2019 16:28

Try reading what annoys people on Mumsnet this is one of those things.

It's not being a prick asking you to post in right place is it, you chose to post in this bit of website, so accept everything that come, people are actually more of pricks thinking rules don't apply to them.

Autumntoowet · 14/11/2019 16:31

People here get annoyed for all sorts.
Punctuation, spelling, MIL threads...

It is just an Internet forum. If you are being respectful who cares if people post in the wrong place unless it is inappropriate (pregnancy choices, mental health etc)

AmICrazyy · 14/11/2019 16:34

@HeresMe clearly you're annoyed about it! It's obviously not enough that I have stated I have posted here naively, apologied and I'm trying (unsuccessfully it seems) to get it removed.

My question is WHY does it piss you off so much? Clearly you don't have much else going on if this is the bane of your life

What 'rules' are you even talking about? Clearly I'm not breaking any if MNHQ won't even remove the bloody thread!!! Hmm
