Hi

So, i had a squinter on Monday evening, yesterday morning, was clearly a darker line and easy to see (could pick up on pictures).
I tested again last night and it was fainter but reasoned my urine would have been diluted because of the time of day.
Used FMU this morning and the line is barely there. These were all FRER's.

I used a CB plus also this morning and there is a line.

My gut is saying its a chemical. Any symptoms i did have (wasnt many) are slowly disappearing

☹😓

Hugs. It sounds like it may be. But I saw a post last month where this happened to someone and they got a BFP a few days later

I come home to brown spotting...
And then a positive test.

Im so confused.

The test you cant even see the line on was this morning.
The clear positive was this afternoon..

What the hell!

Golfy84 · 13/11/2019 18:25

Me too. Ive spent the whole day crying at work and could be for nothing... although... im not confident by any stretch...

I wonder if this has happened to anyone else.

How many DPO are you? You can often get a surge of HCG released when the embryo initially implants and then it can settle down before rising again hence why some people get an early squinter and then it take a couple of days to get a darker line

Also some people find they get darker lines with their second wee of the day not the first - sometimes what you've eaten/drank or your own body can metabolise the hcg if it sits in your wee all night compared to if it's only been a couple of hours

Try not to panic. HCG levels don’t increase steadily in your blood, and your urine levels can vary quite a lot. How many dpo are you?

Brown spotting can be blood from implantation, it can turn up as much as ten days after implantation occurs. Even red blood is not necessarily a problem.

The best thing you can do now is try your best to stay calm and take another test in 48 hours. I know that’s going to feel like a horrifically long time. Distract yourself as much as possible. Fingers crossed for you.

In my experience, if you test too much on these you will get inconsistencies as it takes time for the Hcg to build up, and the amount of HCG in urine can vary. Plus the tests can vary slightly too. For what it's worth my test
lines were always better in the evening than the following morning.

After you get a strong line my advice is to stay clear (google hook effect - my test lines got lighter when hcg got very high).

Good luck!

Also...test lines get darker as they dry which could be another reason that more recent ones appear lighter.
