TTC and job issues

Looking for some advice...am TTC my second child (1st is 2), but am really disliking my current job. Don't want to give too many details but essentially driven by the atmosphere in the team.

Initially I decided to stay put as thought having a second baby before moving would be easier, but have now been TTC for 3 months (not long in the grand scheme of things I know) and the work situation is getting worse. I don't think I can last much longer there so am thinking of continuing to TTC and if no luck by the early new year then I'll start looking for a new role.

Anyone have any advice? Sod's law will mean I get pregnant after I've accepted a new role but before starting as I have 3 m notice...what would happen in that case? I assume they can't rescind the offer?

I feel awful as I'd be applying knowing I'd be hoping to take time off soon, but mentally I just don't think I can stay where I am much longer as it's really affecting me (and who knows how long TTC could take - with first baby we got pregnant straight away, but this one seems it will take longer!).

I suppose I could take a break in TTC if I did find a new role, but I'm 35 so am beginning to feel the pressure of time. I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Thanks in advance.

I was the same and only intended in staying in current role whilst I had children (had it all planned out 🤦‍♀️ 2 year intervals between each of the 3 kids I planned!) but I actually enjoy my job. As it happens still ttc nr 2 after Nearly 3 years and now doing IVF. If you don't enjoy tire job I'd move now - you don't know how quick or not another baby might come along and you might regret being unhappy in your job (and the stress certainly won't help)

Thanks appreciate it, sorry it's taking you a while for number 2, all the very best with IVF.

I definitely agree on the stress point as that has been on my mind recently that it can't help.

I echo the same thoughts- try and move asap if you can so you can start building up entitlement at your new place. And if you do fall before then then it's not the end of the world- will just mean rejigging your may leave (which may all change if labour get in apparently!)
The change of focus might be exactly what you need x
