Positive then negative?

Did a test yesterday (Tesco one) and a v v faint positive kind appeared at about 9 minutes.

Did another test now (Tesco again), and nothing. Not even a hint of a line.

Im now 37 days since my last period - they can be a bit irregular but the longest one in since my youngest DC was born has been 30 days.

What is going on? I feel like I’m in limbo now, I just want either a positive test or a period!

Hi! Sorry I can’t help much, but I’m in the same boat... did a clear blue yesterday and got a faint positive, got darker with time. Today took another and a first response both negative 🤯😩🤷🏼‍♀️.

It may be too early to test but your “positive” on the Tesco test did not develop within the time limit to read the test and is most likely an evap line. Sorry to be discouraging.

You do need to read the tests at the point at which the instructions indicate and then discard them as they are not designed to be accurate outside a certain period. Usually a positive test will stay positive but a negative one can appear positive after the elapse of too much time.

I hear what you’re saying, @Katrinawaves about it not being a reliable positive test.

I think half of it is that my period’s getting so late now, that I’m struggling to think what can be going on if it’s not a pregnancy.
But then, with my previous pregnancies, I had a very clear obvious positive test the first day my period was due, so this is still different....

And another negative test today. And still no period.

This is so frustrating.

Try First a Response. Every other supermarket branded tests I tried always came back negative but First Response always came back up right away.
