TTC after miscarriage - how long to wait?

Unfortunately a few weeks ago we found out that our baby had stopped developing in the first trimester. We're both devestated as it was our first pregnancy but we've had a few weeks to grieve and take this in and we've decided that we would like to try again after our miscarriage.

I am currently 11 weeks and due to have medical management (tablets) to start the miscarriage as nothing has happened naturally.

My question is do i need to wait before my first period before ttc? Any advice appreciated :)

I was in a similar situation to you last year, we were told that there was no reason to wait to TTC again. However I would recommend waiting at least one cycle, my first period after miscarriage was extremely heavy and painful, it will also make it easier I track ovulation and dates.
Unfortunately it took nearly 6 months for my cycle to return to normal, but I am now 22 weeks pregnant.

Good luck with everything!!

Sorry to hear of your mc. I didn't wait and I stressed myself out an insane amount the first cycle, it ended up being 43 days long and looking back, I should have just given myself that time to heal.

Thanks both! Hopefully my periods return to normal fairly quickly but i'm glad i know it can take a bit of time so that i am not stressed if they are a bit irregular!

Wishing you best of luck with your pregnancy @Addicted89
