My partner and I have been trying for our first baby since May, and I've been taking 'Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception' tablets daily.

Any recommendations on alternative vitamins which I could be taking alongside this or instead of would be much appreciated 💚

Is your partner taking the male conception ones too? Vitamin deficiencies in men can cause issues with sperm production. Sperm takes a few weeks to produce so it might take a month or two to have an affect if this is an issue.

I was advised folic acid and vitamin D, and my husband was advised A - Z tablets! We've been referred to a fertility clinic and they confirmed this was all we needed and said the expensive brands are no better!

My IVF clinic only recommends Pregnacare Max and Wellman Fertility / Conception as they have a good combination of ingrediants to tackle most minor ovulatory / sperm disorders.

Thankyou all 😊
At the moment my partner isn't taking any victims, so I just wanted to check whether the pregnacare tablets are the best ones for us both really.
Ill have a look into the wellbeing ones too!

The pregnacare ones seemed to extend my cycle so I just stopped taking them. Back to just folic acid now. My OH is taking the wellman ones though. He’s only been taking them for about a month and nothing yet but he didn’t take them for long enough before I last ovulated and only just coming up to ovulation this month so fingers crossed!

These are amazing for fertility. I had 2 failed rounds of ivf...ivf Dr suggested these. Took them for 9 months and conceived naturally. Highly recommend!!!

Ditto for ubiquinol! And, forms that are water and fat-soluble absorb better. For, folic acid, also some women may absorb the folate form better.

I started taking CQ10 - someone referred me to Luisa Zissamans blog as she talked about it, and on her insta she's got a whole 'stories tab' saved for people messaging her saying they've taken it and got pregnant.

First month I took it I fell pregnant after TTC for 12 months, that ended in a miscarriage.

I've just had my first cycle after the miscarriage and I started taking it again and I got my BFP last week.

GingerRH · 11/11/2019 18:44

@Greenleafer19 second the CQ10. Ive fallen pregnant twice whilst taking them after trying for a year.

HSunflower · 11/11/2019 21:06

CQ10 sounds hopeful, I'll give that ago!
Are you required to take folic acid and Vitamin D alongside CQ10, or is the CQ10 enough?

Than you ladies 💙

@HSunflower still take folic acid. I usually take CQ10 from the start of AF, until ovulation. Just because I read that you should stop taking it if you're pregnant. So I just felt more comfortable stopping in the TWW. Also it's a little bit pricey. You're meant to take like 600 (I don't know what units they measure in) a day.
