Septate uterus

Hi all
Had a scan last week during which sonographer said all seemed fine, however my doctor just rang with the results and confirmed all was ok but said there was a note that I had a septate uterus. However there was no note to refer to a gynaecologist for further investigation so my doctor thinks it must be slight.

I’ve now got home and googled it and seen that it can cause miscarriage etc. Does anyone else have this condition that can offer advice? Should I push for a referral? Any positive stories of successful births with a septate uterus?
Thanks all x

Hi!

How have you been getting on? Did you get a referral etc?

I have a septate too me and OH want to start TTC in Feb but I've read so many stories about MMC it's stressing me out 😭

Hi @sunflowersaremyfav93
Don’t loose hope. I didn’t actually end up Pursuing a referral for this as unbeknownst to me at the time I posted this I was actually already pregnant (about 2 weeks!). I had an uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery. My little girl is 3 weeks old now.

Try not to stress - I know it’s hard. I felt like you did too. They will probably want to monitor you more closely during pregnancy - I had lots of extra scans for a variety of reasons.

Wishing you lots influx for your ttc journey xxx
