Hello!

Just as the title really. Wonder if anyone has tried Vitex? And if you'd like to share your experience? I've been using it for the past 2 weeks. Hope it'll give me and DH a BFP soon. 🤞🏽we're ttc#2 for 8months now. And after 7months of BFN I just thought to give Vitex a try. Thanks ladies! Xx

I used it and got pregnant that month. I only took it up to ovulation. I think its great. Good luck xx

Hello
I have bought some pills called fertility blend on Amazon and they contain vitez and other things. Ive been taking them for just a week so if they are effective yet but I have noticed my skin is breaking out on my chin. Don't know if that's linked. Have you had any side effects?

Mrssendy · 08/11/2019 22:57

Hi ladies thank you for your replies.

Beth whoaa! Hope I'll get as lucky as you! It gives me more hope now xx

Lilice oh no badluck on the breakouts! Hope they go away soon! Are you still taking them now? I haven't noticed any side effect yet (touch wood!). But I do notice my skin gets amazingly brighter and elastic. I've also just stop bf last Sunday. So don't know if Vitex and stopping bf affect my hormones massively. Anyway. Good luck to you and sending lots of baby dust! Xx

Sounds like you're getting good side effects haha! Yes I will carry on taking them, it's only a month supply in the bottle so I'll finish that and take it from there. I read lots of positive reviews on that product and they even did a scientific study which showed that it can help conceive. So fingers crossed. Good luck to you too xx

Mrssendy · 08/11/2019 23:14

Lilice Yes I did read about it helps lengthen LP - which I think I need as I seem to OV on CD20-22. And also because it seems to help decrease prolactin level and increase progesteron - help with the implantation process. If you don't mind me asking, do you take it to regulate cycle? Xx

I noticed that my cycles have got shorter and I seem to have a lutheal phase of barely 10 days. My cycles are now around 25/26 days and I get a positive opk on day 14. So I'm hoping that by taking it, it will lengthen my lutheal phase. I think my cycles are quite regular already, I'm using flo and usually get my AF the day the app tells me. Are you taking it to regulate your cycle?

Mrssendy · 09/11/2019 07:45

Hi Lilice. I notice your other post re this. I hope Vitex will help you lengthen your LP. I heard that many women have longer LP and fell pregnant pretty quickly.

My cycle have actually been regular the past 3 months. 29-30days bang on. However I seem to ovulate on CD20ish. So hope Vitex will change ov to CD14ish.

@lilice that's why I took it to lengthen my luteal, along with vit B complex. Good luck x

Lilice · 09/11/2019 22:33

Beth that's really encouraging, I hope it will give me the same results. I started taking vitamin complex too when my new cycle started so hopefully the combination of the two will work out for me. It's amazing that it worked for you the first month of taking it. Gives me hope xx

Mrssendy · 10/11/2019 15:41

@beth821Thank you for sharing this. I kind of think that I have short LP problems. So hope Vitex will help me. Btw just curious, did you take Vit B Complex along with prenatal vit? I'm taking Pregnacare Conception now and wonder if I should have more VitB

beth821 · 10/11/2019 18:03

@mrssendy. Yes I took pregnacare and high dose vit c, and started both the vitex and vit B complex that month. I was worried about that too but took the 50mg ones (vit b50). It's hard to say if it was just a coincidence or not but I'd do it again. Fingers crossed for you x

Mrssendy · 10/11/2019 20:01

@beth821 thank you so much for this! Xx

Hi all! Can I ask what dose vitex people use? I am thinking of trying it to regulate my cycles. Currently on CD55 and it is driving me mad! Thanks x

MrsCl19 · 10/11/2019 20:42

When I had my baby #1 id come off the pill not had anything for 5 months started taking is and 6 weeks later got a bfp... she's not 21 months.

I'm now trying to conceive #2 and ordered it straight away and taking it so fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

beth821 · 10/11/2019 20:50

I took 400mg (1 tablet) daily from period to ovulation. Heard some people take 80pmg but I was scared

beth821 · 10/11/2019 20:50

Sorry that should say 800mg but I was worried so took 400mg

beibikeiks · 10/11/2019 21:00

I have taken it twice, both times with horrible results. First time I wasn't aware that it was the Vitex at play. I took Fertilaid at the beginning of TTC (2015) and it screwed up my cycle so badly that I pretty much bled constantly for a few months. I didn't realise it was the pills until I decided to try Vitex earlier this year and the same thing happened and I found out that Fertilaid has Vitex in it.

I know this has helped so many women and I was hoping this was going to help me as well. But I have since read that it's not a good solution for women with insulin resistance and PCOS.

Then again... Maybe I'm just the odd one out who's extremely sensitive to Vitex for no apparent reason 😂😂

Lilice · 10/11/2019 21:48

Where did you order it from? I'm taking it as part of a pill that contains other things but I just had a look at the tin and it doesn't say the dosage of it

beth821 · 10/11/2019 22:09

@lilice I got it off amazon, swanson brand I think.
Like Beibikei says though I have read stories of it messing up cycles, which is why I was worried so it's not for everyone.

MrsCl19 · 11/11/2019 06:27

I got mine off amazon/eBay I actually took one 1000mg a day
