Implantation bleeding

Hi
I'm unsure how many weeks pregnant I am but it is between 7-9 weeks. I started 2 days ago with very light spotting but only when I wiped it was brown. Since then, I have woke up this morning and wiped more of a bright red with a bit of a clot. Can anyone tell me if they experienced this and if I should be worried?

Every time I've wiped since the red, it has been a very light brown...

I'm not experiencing any pain with this either.

Thanks !
Any help would be appreciated.

It won't be implantation bleeding if you're 9 weeks. I think a bit of spotting in the early weeks is normal.

mlax · 07/11/2019 12:21

Is it normal to still experience some bleeding then at 9 weeks? This has been ongoing for 2 days but been very light brown...? @Bezalelle sorry this is all new to me x

Personal question, but have you had intercourse lately?

mlax · 07/11/2019 12:35

@alicewithnohumps nope! I'd blame that reason otherwise x

Sorry I just thought sounded very similar to me and that was due to intercourse x

Brown blood is old blood but I would still go see a GP ASAP to maybe do a scan to
Check baby and see if there is maybe a hematoma that is causing the bleed...

isitaline97 · 07/11/2019 12:45

Agree with everyone else a bit of brown blood doesn't sound bad, it's common in the early weeks. But get checked out ASAP just to be sure - for your own sanity more than anything :) good luck xx

I had this, in my case it was breakthrough bleeding. It gradually got heavier and was clotted so I went to a&e and was given a scan 3 days later. Breakthrough bleeding is perfectly normal but obviously very alarming. No one warns you at all about it so I instantly thought the worst. Get to a health professional and have it checked out Flowers

Hi

Brown bleeding can be normal but if you are concerned I suggest you call EPU as very rarely it could indicate other issues. I don't mean to worry you but they are best placed to give the advice.

Always best to call them and they will keep you right.
Best wishes x

I'd go and get checked out, I had this 2 weeks ago and unfortunately it was the start of a miscarriage, fetus never developed it was just an egg sac 😭
I had a lot of pain though and it's unlikely you'll have a problem but you should get checked just to ease your mind
Hope everything is ok xxxx

mlax · 07/11/2019 21:03

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that @Crumbsinthecarpet. If you don't mind me asking, how far along was you when this happened? I'm home from my holiday tomorrow night so planning on going to the hospital then. I had some mild backache earlier which seems to have passed by now, although I am bleeding more red now but only when I'm wiping. After one wipe it goes more of a darker brown but I've had to put a sanitary towel there in case it gets heavy. Xxxx

@IamPickleRick I have started with clotting this morning and has got gradually heavier. Was your pregnancy okay when you had your scan after suffering with this? X

MyFartWillGoOn · 08/11/2019 11:40

@mlax Do you have a local walk in early scanning unit?

I would suggest if the bleed is now red with clots that seeing your GP/getting a scan is absolutely worth it.

Really hope you get a positive outcome Thanks

mlax · 08/11/2019 11:44

Absolutely @MyFartWillGoOn. I'm currently in TFS on way to airport to come home so 4h30 flight time! I land at 7pm and my hospital EPAU is open 24 hours so will be going there as soon as I'm home. I'm hoping for a positive outcome but really can't get my hopes up at this stage.

I'm not really bleeding a lot in my sanitary towel, when I wipe it's red and I've only had 2 clots which one was at 2am and the second at 7am, nothing since.

I've had backache and a slight bit of tummy pain but both have gone and wasn't painful at all, if it was the worst outcome, which you can imagine what I'm thinking as all the posts read online.

Thank you though x

Yes the pregnancy was fine, they had a look at my cervix at a&e, said it was closed but to wait for the worst and here’s some painkillers, scan in 3 days. I had a lot of pain too but I think that was because it was my first everything was stretching out.

And all was totally fine. Never had it with subsequent pregnancies either. Good luck x

mlax · 09/11/2019 20:55

Thank you @IamPickleRick. I went to A&E yesterday and they said it's good that I'm in no pain, but it's 50/50. I have a scan tomorrow morning at 830 so I'm preparing for the worst, but praying for the best. Will keep you updated 😀 x

Hi all - had my scan and I've unfortunately had a miscarriage. Not the news I wanted but didn't expect anything positive either, was just a slight bit of hope it wasn't.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday though x

@mlax so sorry to hear that, sorry for your loss it's awful to go through, I was 7 weeks along when it happened. Really hope you're not in too much pain, have a few days off work if you can and if you ask the doctors they might be able to prescribe you some decent painkillers to help with the pain xxx
