Hi all, quick question. I've got a clear blue ovulation digital test thing and I keep getting nothing but a blank circle, I've also been doing the cheap opks more than once a day. The top test is from this morning and the bottom from 5 mins ago but my clear blue still telling me nothing. Do you think I've missed it?

Never used the clear blue but on the cheapies my ovulation line is always equal to or darker than the control. Both those tests look negative albeit moving in right direction to me

Mich2020 · 05/11/2019 22:34

I know they have to be equal I have found it hard to ever pinpoint the exact time each month every month now for 6 of them whilst doing opks ☹️ I'm
Hoping that maybe my clear blue will give me a more definite answer tomorrow morning 🤞🏻 xx

When have you been testing with the cheapy ones?? And how often?

If you start testing around cycle day 8 and do one around 11 then again late afternoon evening you should catch it. You shouldn’t do opks in the morning as it takes a while for lh to present in the urine.

I used clear blue this month and had a flashing smiley for days and gave up so bought the easy at home sticks and Downloaded Premom (which tells you if your sticks are low high and peak )

Xxx

@Mich2020 I always do my OPK in the evening after work and catch my ovulation then.

Purely because I read that you're not meant to do them in the morning, and I never fancy doing them whilst I'm at work.

tisonlymeagain · 06/11/2019 11:37

You have to keep going with the Clear Blues, I found them very accurate (I was using cheapies and temping at the same time) I had nothing but then about 7 days of flashing smiley before boom, the solid one. Fell pregnant that month.

PottersonDayz · 06/11/2019 12:03

I'm using the same Clear Blue as you are, I've found them much more accurate than the internet cheapies.

Good luck! Thanks

I have been testing everyday twice a day sometimes , never got a clear positive one and still a blank circle on clear blue again this morning. Cycle day 17 now and losing hope 😫😫

Although cycle day 15 looks very close here, my clear blue didn't detect anything. And we haven't had half as much bding as we should have as there's been a few minor issues of late xx

Omg stupid silly me.. I have just figured out I've been using that all completely wrong all this time 😟 it's now saying cd15 was peak and now I've completely missed it, one because I was using wrong thing on app and two because clear blue didn't pick it up when I tested. Ahhh I feel so silly x

I used clear blue opks for the first time this month, I thought I ovulated around day 26, I didn't it was day 21 so keep using them, you might be surprised to find you just ovulate later. They're very accurate, pricy but do much easier to read. Plus you need to use your first morning urine Smile

GingerRH · 07/11/2019 06:51

@Mich2020 I would have take day 15 opk as positive. It's meant to be as dark or darker then the control line, and that one is. If you have a 28 day cycle ovulation is generally around day 14.

Mich2020 · 07/11/2019 07:54

Thank you all for the replies, yes I am thinking day 15'too and means we never had enough over that day or the days before 🙁 always next cycle. Hope everyone is doing okay xx

@Mich2020 literally once is enough. We kind of gave up trying in June/July. And I fell pregnant. We literally DTD once like 2 days after my app was saying I ovulated.

It didn't stick unfortunately and I had a miscarriage at nearly 6 weeks.

But yes. It only takes one! Xx

Mich2020 · 07/11/2019 08:53

@GingerRH sorry to hear that ☹️
I know once is enough but the last time we dtd was Friday and cd15 would have fell Monday/Tuesday I think. Just done another cheap opk as my clear blue was still an empty circle this morning. This is the result today. X

Still pretty strong although not completely positive xx

Done my clear blue in the same urine as the cheap opk. A blank circle again but when taken out of machine nearly a clear positive result on the stick. I know you shouldn't read the sticks but they have been getting darker and darker everyday so fingers crossed my last one in the morning revels that smiley face. Will keep dtd for the next 3 days just incase xx

@tisonlymeagain do you mind me asking how many times you dtd when you got the peak? Just the once on the day of the peak?

@Mich2020 that's interesting When did you start testing on the clear blue? Wondering if it's missed your baseline?

Mich2020 · 07/11/2019 22:17

@Maisy24 I started testing Friday well I done that one in the evening then started properly Saturday morning, so the lines were hardly there then and been backing up with cheap ones anyway. Looked like my levels spiked on day 15 but now seem to be pretty high again and I do have cramps and achy legs like I usually get around ovulation time. So I'll take another clearblue in the morning and hope to see that smiley face then I can't stop testing and officially be in the tww from Saturday 🤞🏻 xx
