One step pregnancy tests

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering do anyone have any experience with one step pregnancy tests. I have been taking them for the past 3-4 days and a very slight line comes up each time, it wont even come up in pictures zones up each time. I have taken two frer and they are 100% negative. I am wondering now are they indent/evap lines, they are thinner than the control line but they do come up within the 5 min time frame. I did dip one in water and nothing came up.

My cycle was always 28 days but I had a chemical in june and one in august and since then it has been 32 days each month. I always have spotting exactly five days before my period is due so usually starts on cycle day 27.

This month I have started having brown spotting since cycle day 24 and still have it today on cycle day 27. I am currently 11dpo.

Any advice please x

When I get a positive on OneStep it usually shows up around 10-11DPO. I think FRERs are supposed to be even more sensitive for detecting HCG than OneStep. Do you have a photo you can attach?

@sassenach84 new here, how do I upload a pic?

I think you're not able to straight away if you've only just become a member. Otherwise there should be a paper clip option in the reply box

I got a very very faint line of one step last week. Could see it when it was wet but after 30 minutes it had dried to nothing. The next day I had a really really obvious positive on a FRER. For me that means FRER is way more sensitive but that doesn't mean it's the case with every batch. Try testing later in the day with a 4 hour hold, sometimes better when you are testing early. Good luck

Thanks everyone. When they dry out the line is mote visible.

I just took a frer and a one step now, both witj same urine, a faint line appeared one the one step within a min and the frer was negative. I think the one steps must be wrong.

Sorry there is no paper clip option for me to upload a pic.

Are you pregnant? Just taken a one step and came back positive but I'm not sure x

Gooseywoosey · 08/11/2019 19:00

Hi, no i am not, af arrived today. Each one step came back with a line, the only thing is the line was never as thick as the control line so if you have a line as thick as the control line it could be good news.

Hi I’m two days late for my period, I’m getting light cramps and all the one step test are coming back as negative

Gooseywoosey · 08/11/2019 23:29

I had faint lines for almost a week on One Step tests last month, and only got an extremely faint line on one First Response. Unfortunately I started bleeding 6 days after AF was due so I think I've had a chemical and the One Steps were the only ones sensitive enough to pick it up.

Did you end up pregnant from this one step test? I used the same one and mine looks exactly the same. I’ve used other ones supermarket brands and a first response the day after and both came up negative yet on 8dpo I was able to see a clear line on the one step. Last cylce I fell pregnant but it was a Chemicwl pregnancy. Only the one steps could detect the Hcg from 8dpo...
