TTC after pill

Hi everyone. Newbie here, I’ve been silently stalking a lot of these threads for a couple of weeks and was determined I would never join or post as I wanted to get on with all of this on my own but now think that being able to talk to others in similar situations will help me Smile and as much as DH is on board with the baby making, I feel like I’m a bit alone in my every day symptom checking and ttc is always on my mind Hmm
I was on microgynon 30 for about 11 years, I went on it due to heavy periods aged 14 and I have no idea if my cycles were regular or not back then! I’ve been off it for about 6 and a half weeks now, finished my withdrawal bleed as normal on 28th sept and absolutely nothing since. I did a pregnancy test yesterday as was curious but BFN.
I’m clearly not in the ‘most women’ category, as NHS advice states ‘most’ will get a period 2-4wks after coming off the pill. I’m sorry my rambling doesn’t really have any direction but I think I’m just wondering if others have any tales of reassurance for me about conceiving after the pill?
I know I’m very early days but I’m worried about leading myself down an obsessive rabbit hole this early on. Patience is unfortunately something I’ve not been blessed with Grin
Also struggling with the whole ‘so when are you going to have a baby?’ Over and over again since we were married earlier this year. I never knew how annoying and pressurising that question was until you’re actually TTC :-/

Xx

@MrsF94 I was on microgynon / rigevidon for 12 years and it took a full year for me to get my cycles into a proper swing after coming off it and this is fairly normal. I conceived 8 months after coming off the pill.

I was only on the pill for a few months after having an implant in. I'd read that cycles can be quite erratic for a few months after stopping. I decided not to test, symptom spot etc until they seemed to settle down because I had no idea what was normal for me. I got pregnant after 3 months, feel very fortunate. My periods had been quite random, different cycle lengths, must have ovulated late because of due date. I'd say try not to overthink at this stage, make sure you dtd reasonably often and perhaps tell yourself you can go and speak to GP if no period and no bfp by Christmas. Good luck!

Hi @MrsF94 - Hopefully you have had a visit from AF by now.

I'm in a similar situation - I had been on Loestrin for many many years but due to the shortage I was switched to Levest earlier this year. I went on it and completed a packet and waited for my break week - The migraines were unbearable and so I decided not to continue using the pill (Me and my partner planned on TTC early next year post house move but decided we might as well start trying sooner as Levest wasn't an option for me).

I had my last break week period (when I had the migraines) on 19th July and haven't experienced anything resembling a period since.

The only strange thing that did happen is after doing the BD there was a bit of bleeding - something that has never occured before. That was about a month ago now.

I have never wanted a visit from AF so badly but without her visiting I can't even say we are TTC as I can't be ovulating as it's 122 days since my break week period.
