Periods after miscarriage

Hi all,

I unfortunately had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in May. I got my BFN 10 days after I started bleeding and my first period exactly 4 weeks later. My first period was very heavy and painful but I was expecting that.

I am now on the 6th period since the miscarriage and it's still just as heavy and painful as when I was miscarrying! I always had light periods before I was pregnant (it was my first).

Now I'm starting to worry. How long is this normal for? I dont want to waste a doctors time but I want something sorting if it is an issue.

Thank you in advance for any words of advice x

Hi, I'm in the same boat, periods were heavy but manageable, now they're so heavy and painful I'm practically bed ridden for the first two days. Had ultrasound for ongoing pain, ovaries OK. I'm at the GP tomorrow for nurse appointment, will ask and let you know.

Hi, basically I got it 'was normal and things should settle down eventually' ! It's madness. I don't even know what to believe.
