I've just ordered the Ava bracelet after reading some encouraging reviews and being fed up of daily peeing on a stick. Would be great to hear from anyone who's used or is using the bracelet and what their experiences are? Fingers crossed it works for us soon 🤞🏼

Hi @Mystie just come across your post, I haven't got one but have been considering getting one, how are you finding it?

Mystie · 01/11/2019 13:15

@MrsN2121 it hasn't arrived yet! Takes 3-5 working days so hopefully be hear soon. I'll let you know what I think!

Thanks @Mystie starting to think it's got to be better than weeing on my hand testing ovulation and waking up and temping everyday!! Good luck with it!

MrsChicken89 · 01/11/2019 15:29

I have one, i'm on my 3rd cycle of using it. So far so good.
It doesn't predict ovulation & you can only tell you've ovulated by the 3 day temp rise afterwards. So i'm still using opks with it.
Most people say its better to put your temps in to fertility friend as well as using ava, as the software is better.
Its easy to use, just put it on charge about an hour before bed (usually only takes 20 mins to charge though) then sleep with it on & sync up in the morning.

Mystie · 01/11/2019 15:37

@MrsChicken89 thanks for the info! It is an expensive piece of kit but I like the idea of not having to think too much about it. I'll be covering all bases and DTD consistently around ovulation but it will be interesting to track my cycle. I've read that you can also continue to use during pregnancy but not sure what benefit that would bring?

MrsChicken89 · 01/11/2019 18:14

Yeah you can, if I ever get to that point I don't think I will, its just one stress I wouldn't want. Trying to 2nd guess what my temps meant!
It's definitely interesting to see you temps and the patterns.

Mystie · 01/11/2019 20:58

@MrsChicken89 how long did it take for the app to get used to your body, could it work on the first cycle potentially?

OP posts:
MrsChicken89 · 01/11/2019 21:09

It will still track your temps and give you your ovulation day, depending on where you are in your cycle when you start tracking.
Putting your temps in to fertility friend will be your best bet.
If you've never temped then it can take you a while to learn how to read the graphs.
It does take a few cycles to fully learn your cycle though.

Mystie · 01/11/2019 21:14

@MrsChicken89 thanks I'll download fertility friend and start logging from tomorrow!

Also picking your brains.. do you think this opk is positive? I'm only CD6 first proper cycle since MMC but think it is too early?

@Mystie it looks like it's very close to being a positive, do you usually ovulate that early? How long are your cycles?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/06/2020 17:02

@mystie sorry to bring back an old thread, but I can't seem to find any active ones, I've just purchased a Ava bracelet how did you get on with it?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/06/2020 17:05

@gypsywater yeah mine are much more irregular between 32 and 49! But I guess temp etc still follows same pattern, so maybe it'll still work! I need to take some pressure off so think it's for the best!...... I bet I just end up doing this on top of everything else!!! 🤣 the thing that puts me off with Ovusense is its internal! My husband quite likes to do it on a morning and I think it would ruin the romance a little 🙈

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/06/2020 17:06

Nope wrong chat!!! Serves me right for talking In two!!

theotherfossilsister · 21/08/2020 18:21

Hello, just waking this thread up to ask if this is actually worth it? Does it show when you are ovulating, or not? (A pp said it doesn't so am kind of wondering what the point is if not.) Thank you.

Coolhand2 · 22/08/2020 01:37

@theotherfossilsister it shows you are ovulating, it gives you 6 fertile days the last being your ovulation day. Because it measures a lot of parameters, it can shift the ovulation day. It worked for me with my son after 5mths of using it. I am using it to try again.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 22/08/2020 09:01

I've just gone onto my third cycle using it, the first i started halfway through, last month it didn't predict my ovulation correctly, but this month it moved my fertile window as it detected a pattern and a day later I have got flashing on clear blue advanced! So I'm really hoping it's just learning! It would be so nice to solely rely on it xx

theotherfossilsister · 22/08/2020 11:21

Thank you @Coolhand2 and @AnxiousAnnie86 - a few cycles for it to get to know me seems reasonable. We're on cycle twenty now, and moving onto cycle 21 on Wednesday, so I can be patient. I'd love not to have to pee on ovulation sticks, especially as I have Sjogren's which makes it less accurate (my water consumption is very high because otherwise the Sjogren's will make me ill.)

Excited to try it.

xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 22/08/2020 11:45

@theotherfossilsister I'm the same! Was Sick of peeing on sticks and waking up to take temp etc etc! If it's accurate on my ovulation day this month I think next week will just stop it all and trust ava xx
