Horrible tailbone pain and negative blood test

Hi there,
I going a bit crazy here!
My period is about 16 days late and I've had this really strong tailbone pain for the last three weeks!!! Can't properly sit or stand or sleep :( cant take any proper painkillers for it if i am pregnant...We're TTC so i thought this could be hormonal based.
I did home pregnancy tests several times over the last weeks and all either negative or inconclusive - changing between negative and positive. Went to the GP and the same thing happened - she did a test and it changed from negative to positive and again to negative, right at the time when you're supposed to look at it.
I had blood test done yesterday and it came back negative.
Could i still be pregnant??
If not, why am i so tired and in so much pain?! I've had other symptoms like bowel movements changes, being hungry more often, higher temperature...i feel like even if i am not pregnant, something is going on with my hormones anyway!
Anyone experienced anything like this please?
Thanks

Was the blood test a beta hcg test?
That's the only blood test to confirm pregnancy.

It sounds like you're not pregnant but might have been and now not or you ovulated late.

My period in September was 12 days late with no reason for it.

Thanks Michelle.
Yes, that was the blood test i had done.

Our bodies are miracles but also mysteries...i guess I won't know what happened and i just need to wait until my period arrives. Or do another test in a couple of weeks.

Our bodies are awful. And I swear you only notice irregularities when trying to conceive. I honestly never gave my period a thought until I miscarried last year and spent every month since wondering what the hell my body is doing to me 😭
