Hi everyone, I came off Cerazette two and a half weeks ago. I still have had NO withdrawal bleed or period. I know it’s early days but I’m so desperate to ttc baby no 2! I’m really impatient... I thought I ovulated on the 11th October but got a bfn yesterday. How long did it take you to get your first period after coming off Cerelle? Any comments much appreciated! Thanks x

I've got a 4 month old DD. Took us 9 months to conceive.

I stopped cerelle and 6 weeks later I got my period but it took several months for my periods to be regular.

Wearenotyourkind · 22/10/2019 21:33

When I came if Cerazette, it took 5 weeks until my first period. Good luck!

whisper1991 · 22/10/2019 21:42

I bled about a week after stopping Cerelle, bled for a few days and conceived about 3 weeks later! I was very lucky though

Mycrazylife85 · 22/10/2019 21:47

My first period after coming off the pill (not that brand) was 74 days...

Peaceandloves · 22/10/2019 23:20

I'm in same boat. Came off cerelle 29/9/19 and no bleeding at all yet. Getting impatient

Deli111 · 22/10/2019 23:46

Gosh, it really varies then! Looks like I could have a bit of a wait seeing as there’s been no withdrawal whatsoever. I did hear that you could still ovulate when off it, without a period but we will see. I have had literally every preg symptom going for the last week, you name it and I had it. The cramping, nausea, metallic taste in mouth... but I’m not pregnant. Ugh, sooooo annoying. Th is for the responses x

Took us 13 months to conceive when I came off cerazette...hugely irregular cycles afterwards

Liverbird77 · 23/10/2019 09:47

Had my first bleed 27 days after coming off cerazette. Took 8 months to conceive

Peaceandloves · 23/10/2019 11:30

For those who have now conceived, once you had your first bleed how long did it take for you cycles to settle?

Liverbird77 · 23/10/2019 15:38

It happened right away. 27 days on the dot every month. They aren't regular since I had my little boy though!

Daisy95 · 23/10/2019 18:13

Came off cerelle 21/09 came on my period today. I didn’t have a withdrawal bleed

Itstime1 · 23/10/2019 19:41

Your post inspired me to finally make an account. I stopped taking Cerezette (after 6 1/2 years- DEPO shot for 6 months before that) on 30th Sep 2019 as we’re trying for baby number 1. I had a normal 3 monthly ‘spotting’ the day I stopped taking it (great timing) but since then - nothing. No withdrawal bleed or anything so I’m hoping it happens soon! Heard it can take months to get back to normal and I haven’t felt like I’ve ovulated this month either (used to feel
a pain in my side so I would know...) hopefully it goes back to normal quick for you!

purplefig · 23/10/2019 20:11

I came off it and had loads of the pregnancy symptoms you mentioned, it's annoyingly common. It took me about 5.5 weeks to bleed and then after that my periods were fairly regular (27 - 35 days). I was on it for about 2 or 3 years and before that the normal pill for about 7 years. All the best!

Peaceandloves · 23/10/2019 22:33

Posting on this thread seems to have done the trick! Some light bleeding started this evening so hopefully a sign that things are moving again x

Deli111 · 24/10/2019 02:43

Glad you’re getting your period! I’m still waiting... been three weeks now with no bleeding. Guess I’ll have to wait it out a bit longer. Once I get my period it’ll be so much easier to track ov, obviously. I was on Cerelle since July 2017 xx

When I was ttc #1 I came off cerrelle in December 2016 I had a very light bleed and then nothing it got to the March and I went to drs who told me I wasn't ovulating 🤷🏼‍♀️ so after searching forums and online I decided to try agnus castus (have a read) and took all my other vitamins 6 weeks later I got a bfp.... so I'm pretty convinced that's what helped me ovulate....

Now ttc #2 just off the combined pill and day 3 of withdrawal and I'll be taking ac again x

Peaceandloves · 24/10/2019 08:23

@Deli111 I think I spoke to soon :( couple of hours of very light, pinky brown blood and then nothing all night

Deli111 · 24/10/2019 09:59

It could be your withdrawal bleed though? From what I hear, it’s lighter than a normal period.
If I’ve had no bleeding by January, I’ll prob go to the docs. Before taking Cerelle I had a very regular cycle of about 29/30 days, no issues whatsoever. At same time though, I know it’s early days and I’m not long off the pill.

Thanks @Delli111 you might be right. It's hard to keep patient but like you say we haven't been off it long and it will take some time I guess.

Deli111 · 24/10/2019 16:29

It’ll take time perhaps. But don’t forget you can still ovulate after you come off it, without a period. I’m holding out hope... xx

I come off the pill 14th July 89 days later got my period on 9th Oct and still have it 16 days later. GP says it is nothing to worry about having a longer period as the longer you wait for one the lining of your uterus gets thicker.
Just letting you all know as I was really worried about how long it was.

maloofhoof · 24/10/2019 19:35

My last pill was 3 weeks ago. No period/withdrawal bleed. However I've had 7 days of constant stomach cramps and back ache so hoping it'll start soon.

Deli111 · 24/10/2019 20:33

How do you reply to a specific person on here?
Sorry, not sure how to do it as am new to this site!
I also had my last pill 3 weeks ago and haven’t had a bleed. Like you I had loads of cramping and really though af would arrive, but nothing yet. I really hope it doesn’t take long. I’m so tempted to buy ov sticks to see if I’m ovulating or not. Never used them before as they seem complicated x

@Deli111 started bleeding this am. Guess too early to tell if it's withdrawal or a proper period.

Deli111 · 31/10/2019 17:15

Lucky you! At least you can track things now. I’m still waiting for mine. It feels like it’ll never come x
