Bear with me as this may be a little confusing.

So I started af on Tues 8th of October had sex early hours Saturday morning so CD5 I track ovulation using opks to hopefully avoid getting pregnant and always ovulate on cd17 anyhow opks are showing positive way to early for me so for shits and giggles did a hpt entirely expecting it to be BFN but oh no it came up BFP almost instantly faint but nevertheless positive.

I can't possibly be pregnant 1. It's was far too early in my cycle and 2. Sorry for tmi but partner didn't even ejaculate inside me so the test is clearly wrong isn't it?

It's a one step strip test, I did hundreds of them when ttc my 3 and never had a + unless I was pregnant.

Based on the reasons stated above its pretty clear its a fluke surely

I dont think you get false positives. Could it be from a previous month? Try another test

Cd5 was the first time in a couple of months, although I've just asked partner and I thought he didn't 'finish' and now he says hes not sure as he was pretty drunk so it's possible he could have. I don't know whether to leave it a bit or get a better test like FRER.

Also not sure if it's connected but I have come down with thrush last time I had thrush I was 16, weird🤔

Ooh, I'd go and get a FRER. Sounds like the one step might be right x

Still a little in limbo, did another strip this morning waited 2 mins didn't see anything so I put it back in its packaging and shoved it in my drawer, went back an hour later and there's a line still faint but very noticeable and a smidge darker than yesterday's.
