Implantation or period ?

Hey so just wondered if anyone had any experience of this, here's the history

Had D&C following a miscarriage on 21 August

Period 26 September

Blood appeared yesterday 20 October like a period

Hubby's first answer was maybe it's implantation bleeding as period wasn't due for another week.

I don't want to do a test yet but just wondered if anyone else had anything similar and what was the outcome

If it's period-like bleeding it is unlikely to be implantation bleeding. As I understand it implantation bleeding is fairly light. When I had it, it was just a few pink streaks when I wiped. It may be that your body is still settling back into its rhythm after your miscarriage which is why (if it is) your period is early. Hope you are feeling ok after your miscarriage. I've had two and it really sucks.

Hi I'm having that same dilema. We have been ttc for 4 months and this month my period has come a week early. I was hoping it was implantation bleeding but I think I'm just getting my hopes up as is quite heavy. I have had pregnancy symptoms also.

I haven't had any preg symptoms but with my son I had no symptoms at all sooooooo

I'm starting to think mine is just a period Altho I have read posts on other sites years ago that people in our boat have had what looks to be a period, tested when period is due and it's been positive so I guess who knows.

Jumping onto this. I've posted a similar thread. This morning I've started spotting dark brown coloured mucous, I was sure at first it was my period coming had some cramps and backache but that seems to have disappeared and just the brown mucous in my liner. It's not heavy, and it's not red so I didn't know what to think. Not due on until 26-27th xx

Mine deffo looks like a proper period, deffo more than just spotting lol!! So I'm thinking I'm just early this month

Hi guys any updates? Has anyone tested? So as I said before, mine looked just like a period only 6 days early and lasted 3 days. Now gone. Finished on Wednesday. According to me it was due today but I'm unsure about testing as firstly I always show up late on pregnancy tests, meaning that I dont get a positive for ages even tho I am pregnant, and also if this is just an early period then I've wasted a tenner as I insist on always getting the clear blue digital ones

From what you've said, it sounds like your period made an appearance early unfortunately.

Hello, I’m in the similar position,
I came off pill last year, my periods have been different times of the the month but roughly
Around 34/35 days apart.

This month, 5 day’s before apparently my period was due I started to have spotting, light pink colour not even filling up a pad, it continued onto the second day ... the day after it completely stopped.... (Few day’s before my Boobs were so achy)

a week later I still have no heavy period, I feel
Bloated, back ache, a little tired (no sore boobs)... I have done a pregnancy test and has come
Back Negative, Very frustrating

any one been in same position... ???

I'm going through the same thing, had a D&C after MMC on 8 October been actively trying since bleeding stopped and have been getting lower back cramps since last night and tiny bit of blood this morning which now seems to have stopped? Thinking it would be very unlikely to be at implantation stage 18 days after D&C, what do you think? Am I clutching at straws, is it just more likely I'm having an early af? Aggghhhh so frustrating! My oh thinks I'm mad thinking I could be pg again this quickly!

Well I have no other symptoms maybe it was just a strange period as it was on cycle day 28,

Yeah it’s all so strange, I haven’t been worried about it I just want it to happen.. more excitement than anything else...

Everyone is so different as well so we can’t go by each other’s experiences but it’s good to hear fro
Different ladies experiences so I don’t think I’m going mad haha

May try book into doctors for blood test this week

Can't remember what D&C stands for but it's basically a minor operation where they remove the remains of the foetus after a miscarriage

Bleeding has got steadily heavier as the days gone by along with cramping. Definitely af, back to square one 😢
