EWCM but neg OPK

I have PCOS so random cycles. I would be coming into my fertile window if it was a 28 day cycle (normally 35+ but occasionally its less). My OPK are still negative (a very very faint line) but I have just randomly had EWCM. Does this come before ovulation, during or after? We have been trying for 2 years but I have only recently started trying to work out when my fertile window is so it's all quite new to me!

In my case just before - I would keep using the OPKs and fingers crossed you get a positive soon!

Like this?? Assuming I am nearly there! First time it's ever been vaguely even dark! Getting emotional over a tiny little strip Blush

Unfortunately you can get ewcm multiple times in cycle as sometimes your body gears up for ovulation, but it doesn’t happen for whatever reason but might happen later one. The line on your opk needs to be as dark as the control line. It’s not like a pregnancy test where you only get a line if the test is positive. You can get faint lines like yours at any point in your cycle as there will be LH present in smaller quantities even when you are not about to ovulate. Have you tried taking your bbt daily? That can tell you after the fact if you have ovulated and can give you a good idea as to when you might ovulate next cycle. Good luck :)

I know that's not a positive but it's the darkest I have had. Blood tests showed I ovulated last month. Hoping later today or tomorrow it will be positive! I have a bbt thermometer but sadly due to my job I cant regularly take it at the same time each morning so GP advised against it?

Fingers crossed it’s your month this month :)

OPKs are less reliable with PCOS as your hormones levels work differently. You can also have a surge and not ovulate so even getting positives isn't 100% reliable, do you track your BBT too?

It's a good start having confirmed ovulation via blood test and keep going over the next day or so with the OPKs (id do serval as the surge can be quite short).
