Pregnant on nexplanon?

Hi I had an implant fitted January this year. Haven’t been having sex to really test its effectiveness until about 6 weeks ago. Been having some pregnancy symptoms. Took a test today and it’s definitely a faint positive (will try and put a picture up but not sure how to!) went immediately to the doctor as I’ve heard it can be risky to keep nexplanon in. She was a right nob to be honest Hmm
Unfortunately it was the same doctor who fitted the implant. I felt like she was trying to tell me it’s impossible, she did a dipstick which was negative. Said it might be because it’s not morning wee. Took a look at my faint positive and said hmmmm could be just keep an eye on it. I’d be roughly around 6 weeks gone. Has anybody had any experience of this? I’ve only ever heard MC stories about women pregnant on nexplanon Sad
That’s if I am but I always thought a faint positive is a positive Hmm

My friend's daughter fell pregnant while her implant was still in. Have you done any further tests? Or asked the Dr for a blood test?

Hi flareon,

Apparent faint positives can sometimes just be evaporation lines, worth repeating the test/ perhaps getting one of those early response tests in the coming days.
The chances of pregnancy are very low - approximately 1 in 3000 women will get pregnant each year - but its not impossible.
