So I've been off the pill since the beginning of this year and I'm yet to fall pregnant. I started tracking my ovulation in June and picked up a positive OPK! Since then I've continued to test each month and have not picked up one single positive OPK!

I've noticed as the months have passed that my skin has been getting worse and this month I have really bad spots covering my face, neck and chest. My hair has been getting greasy much quicker too.

I'm currently guessing that I'm 7DPO (if I did ovulate), having a mix of EWCM and CCM, I'm really hungry too.

Doc has booked me in to do a blood test next month for PCOS and to try and pin point ovulation.

Any words or wisdom or advice? Each month I think it's going to be my month... already dreading AF arriving next week.

Unfortunately it sounds like we’re almost in exactly the same position. I stopped taking the pill at the beginning of January and still haven’t fallen pregnant. I started trying to track OPK around March time but stopped after a couple months because it was always negative and it was making me a bit crazy. I felt like my whole life revolved around TTC, worrying that I wasn’t ovulating at all and not planning things in advance in case I was pregnant.

Since stopping the pill my skin has definitely been worse too and I’ve been getting more migraines than before. I’m guessing it’s to do with my hormone levels increasing which I suppose can only be a good thing.

I’ve been to the GP and although they say they can’t refer me to a fertility specialist until it’s been a year she’s taken my blood to test for hormone levels/PCOS and my husband has been referred for a semen analysis so hoping that will give me some clues. My mum struggled to conceive so I’m hoping it’s not hereditary.

Anyway sorry I’ve not been much help or offered much advice but it’s helped knowing I’m not alone in this! Good luck this month!

So it took me over a year to fall pregnant I had all the same worries
I'm trying again now and it's been 1y+
Still no luck
I was told by my Dr if I'm having regular periods then I am most definitely ovulating
I tried the strips and I had no luck
I've now started to track my temp and that seems to work so hopefully after a few months I will have a more accurate ovulation window than using my app
Sometimes it just takes ages

What OPKs are you using and when are you testing? When you say no positive what do you mean? No lines at all or faint or just not as strong as control line?

Unfortunately regular periods and positive OPKs do not guarantee you are actually ovulating, they are just good indicators along with EWCM and temp spikes. If you have all of these then you are most likely ovulating. That is the knowledge I've built up over the last few months anyway! They will normally do day 21 bloods to check your progesterone levels which indicates if you have ovulated.

Even if you aren't ovulating they can give you clomid which can trigger ovulation so there are lots of options!
Or you might just be missing the signs or not testing at the right time/ missing your positive OPK.

I know it's heartbreaking each month and I'm only on cycle 5 but at least if you are close to the year mark you are closer to getting some answers and your BFP.
