TTC-irregular period confusion

Got the depo shot last august after having the implant for 3 years...in the last year of the implant my periods were like clockwork but when I got the depo shot they got messed up I had a period in august and again in november when I should have went back then again in january and then april ever since then I have been spotting every 2 weeks or so right up until last month when my period came as expected 4 weeks after my last one so assumed my cycles were returning to normal.

I am now in October and had my period at the start of the month from the 28th Sept to the1st of October now its 2 weeks later and I've been getting quite a bit of cramp and back pain aswell as brown stringy discharge that has turned red in the last 48 hours but very light just wondering if anyone has experienced this before?

Should have said have been for blood tests and a ultrasound and apart from high testosterone levels there is nothing wrong with me

Hey sorry I haven’t had anything similar to what your currently going through but I when I had blood test for high testosterone and ultrasound it showed I had polycystic ovaries (PCOS) which causes irregular periods, maybe be worth speaking to your doctor to check if it’s the depo wearing off, good luck on your TTC journey xx

I found taking pregnacare before conception helped with my irregular cycles. 10 years on the pill my first proper cycle off the pill was 49 days but have since regulated thanks to these vitamins xx
