Coil removal

Looking for some advice on when to get my copper coil removed in my cycle? I've had the coil for around 3 years and this will be my first time trying to conceive! Any advice would be appreciated!!

Just after your period. But be advised, even though copper coil does not contain hormones, your cycle can change a little bit after removal (mine went from 31-33 days to 28-39 days long, and of course my periods became lighter, shorter and less painful).

You're likely to be most fertile about two weeks before af (would) arrive, so earlier in your cycle than that if you're looking to start ttc that cycle.

Towards the end of your period as cervical os is slightly open, also ensures your not pregnant.

I had mine removed on CD7, my period finished a couple of days before. I’m currently on CD28 and no sign of my period (I usually have a 26/27 day cycle but I have found that the fertility supplements I’ve been taking extended my cycle to 29 days last cycle and that’s even before I had my coil out which could throw me out even further...) I feel like the cycle you take it out is a cycle to write off though- tracking it was a pain for me and I’m definitely excited to start on the next one!!

Sorry I'm new to this, what does AF mean?
And where could I get fertility supplements?
I am scared about the pain of it as I couldn't walk after I got it in! And is it bad for me to become pregnant with it being removed? Is there a chance of miscarriage?

Having it removed is painless - I had my smear done at the same time and the whole thing was over in 90 seconds!

How long would you recommend I wait after having it removed?

I don’t think you have to wait at all really (providing all goes well with removal).

For comparison, I had my coil removed 3 days before ovulation and got pregnant on that cycle!
