Boots own pregnancy test....help!!

So I am currently 9 days late for AF and have had many symptoms. Today I had some bad cramping so took a boots own PT. the result is in the picture and it came up straight away a second line and clearly pink in colour. To double check I took a FRER and 2 other chepie tests (not boots own) and they were all negative! Not even a hint of a line- has anyone else had this or can share some light on what is going on. Got my hopes up so much

That's a negative test OP. At 9 days late I would expect a clear line.

I had EXACTLY the same with one of these tests yesterday 😐 Still haven’t come on my period and am only 2-3 days late I think so still holding out hope! There’s got to be something wrong with them!

I'd recommend a first response early response test. Those will have a clear line as they are super sensitive @ 9 days late for sure!

I am sorry but that looks very light for 9 days late.

I would suggest asking for a blood test with a repeat one 48 hours later to see how high your numbers are and if they are doubling.

@Papertigers so strange isn’t it!! If it is negative I am going to be so annoyed as it is so convincing. I have done 4 other tests now all negative so don’t know what to think other than it’s negative! Maybe still too early for you, I’m 9 days late now but came off the pill last month and haven’t had a period since my withdrawal so god knows what my dates are!!

Well that would explain why only one is coming up positive and so faintly. I think you must be earlier on than you think. It looks right for maybe 1-2 days early or 1-2 days and if your dates are off it would explain why the other tests are not yet picking up the hcg.

I would wait a couple of days and test again.

If you’ve only just come off pill then your dates will be all over the place, so you’re probably not nine days late (unless you have proof of ovulation etx)

Hi @ACMJ, sorry for the delay! Been away in France. Nope, nothing since. Was definitely a dodgy test as it turns out I was actually ovulating that day! Any news on your end? Xx

@Papertigers that’s okay! Yeah same for me as my AF arrived shortly after. Will never use them again how awful! Xx
