Evap lines break hearts

So my partner and I have been TTC for over 2 years now. We're not eligible for fertility tests on nhs and can't afford private, as we conceived our first naturally, although it took 18 months. I've been feeling 'pregnant' for over a week, completely off certain foods, tired and falling asleep at any opportunity, sore boobs... did a test yesterday morning and got the test on it’s own. Obviously rushed out to buy more tests, waited until this morning and all negative. I’m heart broken, I don’t know how to carry on this journey, with every month that passes I fall deeper into depression. How do people do this?

When is your period due?

LividLaughLove · 13/10/2019 07:31

That’s not an evap.

Looks like you’ve had a chemical pregnancy. I’m so sorry, I had one and I know the pain.

Samsamsuperman · 13/10/2019 07:34

When is your period due?
Don't want to get your hopes up but I see a line on all but the Clearblues which are less sensitive. I don't want to get your hopes up I'm just not sure you're out yet.

Chlandy · 13/10/2019 08:10

I only see a line on one, but thank you for your comments. I'm not due on till thursday, but the tests are the 6 day early detection ones and I'm thinking evap as if it showed yesterday, surely today it would have to show as HCG would be stronger. Contemplating giving up ttc it's too torturing mentally 😭

You're testing way too early. You aren't out yet. That first test doesn't look like an evap to me.

Makeafamily19 · 13/10/2019 08:59

I agree you are testing too early. If you aren't due till Thursday you must be like 9DPO ish? Some people can get a positive 6 days before on sensitive tests if they implant early. However if you implant later (up to like 12DPO), it then takes a few days after this to even start producing HCG for it to be detected.
Stop testing early and wait until your period is due, I think this helps reduce the torture we put ourselves through each month. I'm sorry it's taking so long for you, it really is heartbreaking. Maybe you need to just take a break for a while and focus on other things.

Chlandy · 13/10/2019 09:11

Thank you I knew I was too early and if I hadn't had the first positive I deffo would've waited but it gave an extra hope that I was further along for it to show so early. I decided to test early after feeling so pregnant (I realise I probably sound crazy!) so my friend who had IVF recommended the strip tests and clear blue 6 day early ones. I'll wait and see if Mother Nature arrives on Thursday and will update! Thank you for your kind words I definitely put myself through it more than I need to xx

I don’t know what’s going on for you OP but I just wanted to say I feel your pain - every month getting more depressed i totally get it.
I’ve just decided to take a break from tTC because I just can’t take it anymore. I actually feel so relieved to be taking a few months off.

I hope this works out for you.

Crystal87 · 13/10/2019 10:06

Do a First Response. If you are pregnant and getting faint lines, a First Response will tell you. Any test with blue lines aren't as sensitive as one with pink, when testing early.

Chlandy · 13/10/2019 10:43

@Mooey89 if my period arrives as expected I think I'll have to take a break too! Sending lots of love to you, it's a horrible situation to be in xxx
@Crystal87 I'm going to wait now but will definitely get one of those tests next time, thanks so much xx

BFN this morning, AF hasn't arrived yet but is due today and I'm 15 DPO... guess that's me out again this month. Too heartbreaking is this.

Thank you @Mooey89 . We're going to do as you are and take a break, we've decided for the rest of the year now. Everything crossed you get your wishes in 2020 if not sooner Thanks xx

I know the pain all too well, I'm just starting cycle 21! The last few cycles have really gotten to me mentally, and with each one I always think I can't carry on with this.

Mooey89 · 18/10/2019 08:05

Fingers crossed we meet again on a BFP thread in 2020 x

Chlandy · 17/11/2019 07:25

I think this is my BFP... everything crossed 🤞! Getting a digital later so will keep you posted. This is my first test, I'm 3 days late xxx

Chlandy · 17/11/2019 08:49

Digital has confirmed it! Thank you so much everyone I can't believe it! We didn't actually try or track last month we decided to take a break and I decided to go gluten free after reading it can effect fertility and pregnancy's... not sure if it's coincidence or not, but either way I'm just over the moon! Thank you everyone means so much xxx

Just read your thread and am so happy for you. I have a friend who suffered multiple early mcs and fertility problems until giving up gluten, and then had a healthy natural pregnancy. Wishing you lots of luck and love Smile

Mandatorymongoose · 17/11/2019 09:06

Looks like a really strong line!

Mandatorymongoose · 17/11/2019 09:07

Too slow to post, not surprisingly confirmed by digital!

Congratulations!

Pawsin · 17/11/2019 10:15

I was just reading your post for the first time and my heart was breaking for you, and then I scrolled down and saw your BFP! So happy for you, congratulations xx
