Hey all,

Wondering if I could pick your brains. I've been using these amazon cheapies for a couple of months but NEVER get a dark line. Best it gets is like the attached pic - almost as dark as the control, but not quite. Mind you, that control line is pretty light too. Has this happened with anyone else? Genuinely can never tell whether I'm going in or out of my fertile window. Today is day 14 after last AF ended.

Also - side note - I was traveling through the desert with this pack. Dunno if extreme temperatures have an effect on the functionality of these tests?!

Thanks!

OPKs like this will only read your LH surge and I believe there's a pretty short window to catch that surge (happy for someone else to correct me if I'm wrong!), I thought the LH surge could only be read in a few hours, likely late afternoon, on your single ovulation day.

Could you stretch to Clear Blue Digitals, just for a month? I'm using them atm and they also read your oestrogen surge which happens 2-3 days before your LH surge - so you get a bigger window of prediction.

Oh that's interesting! Thanks! Yeah definitely open to trying different ones - we've just started trying so I'm admittedly new to the world of ovulation tests. These ones don't show a line at all right at the beginning or end of my cycle, but never seem to get past the vague in between stage either! I'll look into the ones you mentioned 💓

@creepin definitely have a look at the digital ones they should help. I'm also using an app called Ovia if you've heard of it? If not, it's got a calendar where you can record your oestrogen surges (high fertility days) as well as your LH surge (peak fertility day). It'll then record in your calendar when your 6-day fertility window is before conception which is super useful Smile

Oh that's interesting! Hadn't heard of it, no --will definitely check it out! Thanks for the recommendation! 💓
